The Gardens of the Woodrow Wilson Family Home sit in the heart of Columbia's Robert Mills Historic District, surrounding the boyhood home of President Woodrow Wilson, built circa 1871. As South Carolina's only remaining presidential site, the property pairs a rare piece of history with gardens inspired by Italian-villa stylings and a relaxed, peaceful atmosphere well suited to ceremonies and receptions. The outdoor grounds accommodate up to 250 guests across a main lawn shaded by mature fir trees and a gravel reception area fitted with tie-down anchors and grapevines for tenting and decor. A newly renovated catering prep kitchen and renovated restrooms support events on-site, with electrical access available throughout the gardens and Historic Columbia staff present during rentals. The historic home itself operates as a museum and is not part of the rental, keeping the focus on the gardens as a backdrop for weddings, receptions, and smaller private gatherings.

Named for its famous designer and native South Carolinian, Robert Mills, the Robert Mills Carriage House & Gardens sits on an expansive, tree-lined property just minutes from downtown Columbia. The historic home itself operates as a museum and is not available for rentals, but the surrounding grounds and Carriage House are. The property offers four distinct garden areas alongside the indoor Carriage House, giving events flexibility in scale and setting. A front lawn provides ample green space with a view of the main house, a back lawn is shaded by magnolia trees estimated at 125 years old, and a secluded Founder's Garden offers walking paths and hedges. Fountains, gravel walkways, trellises, and benches run throughout the grounds. The Carriage House itself features exposed beams and large barn-style doors, and the property includes a catering prep kitchen, two restrooms, wireless internet access, and private gravel parking for approximately 30 cars, with on-site staff during events. One of Columbia's oldest estates, the Hampton-Preston property spans three acres of gardens filled with native and exotic plantings. Magnolias and live oaks tower over the grounds, including an extensive back lawn and side gardens, while pergolas, a gazebo, and a fountain garden give planners several distinct backdrops for ceremonies and receptions. The back lawn, lined with magnolia trees, accommodates outdoor events up to 400 guests, with a sunken patio offering recessed lighting and electricity for evening celebrations. A fountain garden provides seating beneath live oak trees, and a covered gazebo offers a sheltered garden setting. A renovated basement area adds restrooms, water fountains, and a private lounge and changing suite, and a restored mid-1800s arboretum with paved walking paths runs through the property. Electricity is available throughout the gardens, and Historic Columbia staff remain on-site for the duration of every event. From October through March, the property's Boyd Foundation Horticultural Center, a greenhouse that opened in March 2022, can be paired with a garden rental, seating 65 guests or hosting 130 standing, with two restrooms, a prep kitchen, and tables and chairs provided for indoor use.

City Art is a working art gallery in the historic Congaree Vista district of downtown Columbia, South Carolina, housed in a Southern warehouse building with exposed brick walls and 14-foot exposed beam wood ceilings. Original contemporary artwork lines the walls throughout, and rental guests are free to wander through three galleries of paintings, sculpture, and other work during their event. The Main Gallery, the venue's primary event space, offers 2,800 square feet of maple plank hardwood flooring that doubles as a dance floor, twinkling white lights along the entry trees and antique elevator shaft, and a warm, art-filled backdrop that keeps decor needs to a minimum. It accommodates corporate parties, wedding receptions, and rehearsal dinners, with room for bands, DJs, and acoustic performers alike. Rental includes a furniture package, a sound system with wired and wireless microphone, and a bride's room, and the venue is located in the heart of the Vista, within walking distance of galleries, shops, restaurants, and nightlife.

Housed in a restored 1903 building in Columbia, South Carolina, 701 Whaley began as the company store for the area's textile mills and, by 1909, had become the community center for mill workers — known simply as "The Y," complete with a bowling alley, gymnasium, and dance hall. After decades of decline and a partial roof collapse led the city to condemn the building, a team of local developers purchased and restored the 55,000-square-foot structure, which is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Today the venue offers a range of distinct event spaces within the historic building, from the Grand Hall's floor-to-ceiling windows and Grand Staircase to the Granby Room's street-level glass storefront and original wood columns. The Olympia Room, on the second floor, retains its original hardwood floors and 17-foot ceilings, while The Pool — a 1918 space reopened in 2022 — features a glass floor, soaring windows, and hand-laid mosaic tile skylit from above. A French architect known for his work in New Orleans designed the home, and it retains original details including intricate ironwork, ornamental cornices, parquet floors, figured glass doors, and brass chandeliers. The State of South Carolina acquired the property in 1968, and it later served as the Governor's official guest house before a 2004 interior refurbishment adapted the home for weddings, rehearsal dinners, corporate events, and other celebrations.
