Set on the banks of the Concho River in San Angelo, the Bill Aylor Sr. Memorial River Stage is an outdoor amphitheater built into the natural terrain of a 3-acre site. Its fan-shaped design lets spectators take in the stage from a terraced hillside or from folding chairs set on a concrete slab just in front of it, and the venue has hosted acts ranging from B.B. King and Willie Nelson to Ted Nugent and San Angelo's own Los Lonely Boys. It's also home to the city's annual July 3 Concert and fireworks show. The stage house spans 3,700 square feet, with the 1,325-square-foot stage measuring 114 feet from wingtip to wingtip and backed by dressing rooms, storage, and equipment space. Large doors in the wings double as baffles when open and, when closed, join a movable back panel and roof to form a full shell; those back panels can also be left open to frame a view through the stage to a fountain on the river. Despite its scale, the River Stage's rental rates are affordable enough that it regularly hosts private events alongside its concert season.

Cos House sits on Villita Street within La Villita Historic Arts Village, on the south bank of the San Antonio River in downtown San Antonio, one block from the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center and the Hemisfair District. It is considered the oldest building in the "little village," and tradition holds that General Martín Perfecto de Cos surrendered to Texan forces there in December 1835 following the Siege of Bexar, giving the house its name. La Villita traces its history nearly 300 years, beginning as an informal 18th-century settlement on former mission farmlands before falling into disrepair and later being restored in the 1930s under Mayor Maury Maverick's preservation effort. Cos House is one of several outdoor venues within the village, set in tree-shaded grounds that lend a historic ambiance to weddings, private parties, and performances alike. As an outdoor venue, Cos House suits celebrations that can take advantage of its open-air, tree-shaded setting amid the arts village's historic architecture.

The venue is built around multi-day celebrations, offering 48-hour estate rentals that give couples the run of the grounds for the full weekend rather than a single event day.
