Catskill View Weddings & Events occupies Thor Icelandics, LLC., a working Icelandic horse farm in Claverack, New York — in the heart of Columbia County's Hudson Valley, two hours north of New York City and ten minutes from the city of Hudson. The farm is home to more than 50 Icelandic horses and is recognized as the only Icelandic horse farm in North America that operates as a wedding and event venue. Three distinct outdoor spaces — The Hill, the Upper Track, and the Lower Track — each accommodate up to 300 guests. The Hill commands a full 360-degree, unobstructed view of the Hudson Valley and the Catskill Mountain range, with the sun setting directly over the mountains to the west; it is the venue's signature setting. The Upper Track, nestled in the heart of the farm and enclosed by woods on most sides, offers a more private atmosphere with exceptional acoustics.
