The property occupies the site of the original Hopland High School, a building that served the community from 1922 to 1963 before the Brutocao family restored it in 1998 with a focus on historical preservation. Today it operates as the event home of Brutocao Family Vineyards, a four-generation winemaking operation that has farmed Mendocino County land since 1943. The estate offers four distinct event venues spanning indoor and outdoor settings. The Bliss Room is the primary indoor space, accommodating up to 200 seated guests for receptions, corporate events, and private celebrations, and features a built-in bar, catering kitchen, and dedicated dance floor. The historic Schoolhouse Plaza Indoor Venues include the Lions Den and Restaurant and Bar, suited to smaller gatherings of 30 to 80 guests. Outdoors, the Schoolhouse Plaza grounds offer a private patio, wedding chapel lawn, BBQ area, and six regulation bocce ball courts.
