Appleford is one of Pennsylvania's most romantic venues. This historic Pennsylvania estate is located on 24 beautiful acres in Villanova, Pennsylvania, in the heart of Philadelphia's Main Line. Drive down the long pine-lined driveway to ponds, a waterfall, manicured gardens and an alee of trees in this arboretum and bird sanctuary. The estate has been used as a wedding venue creating lasting memories for more than 50 years. Facilities and Capacity The flagstone terrace directly in front of the house is tented from April-November and can accommodate 200 guests for seating. The gardens complete the Appleford experience. Wooded acres envelop the property with gardens surrounding the estate for your cocktail hour and enjoyment. Gardens off the terrace include the walled/perennial garden and the rose garden with a small fountained pond. Behind the home is a beautiful boxwood maze enhanced with statuary, the Medallion garden, the alee of Chinese dogwood trees, and the greenhouse. Large wedding ceremonies typically occur by the waterfall and weeping willow trees directly in front of the estate. The use of the house consists of; the Music Room, the Pine Room, the Dining Room, the Kitchen, and a Groom’s lounge. There is also a Bride’s bedroom suite for use on the second floor and the Puppy House (small den) adjacent to the first floor off the outside reception area used to drop off your décor and other items the morning of your event. The house is air-conditioned, however the reception, for the most part - especially seating - would be outside on the terrace. Appleford also has a piano and three gas fireplaces on the first floor of the house to add to the charm and ambiance of your event. Cuisine Appleford clients may select a caterer from an exclusive list of eight caterers: Catering By Design, Feastivities Events, Feast Your Eyes, John Serock Catering, Perfect Setting Catering, Sage Catering. Seedling & Sage, and 12th Street Catering. These caterers provide a complete setup and breakdown for weddings and receptions. If alcohol is being served, clients can provide their on alcohol (a cost savings) with the bartenders provided by the caterers. Other Services Clients are welcome to select a dj/band, florist, photographer, videographer and other vendors of their choice.

The Historic Philander Chase Knox Estate sits within Valley Forge National Historical Park, the site where General George Washington's army encamped from 1777 to 1778 during the Revolutionary War, surrounded by 3,500 acres of rolling meadows and towering trees. Built in the late 1700s, the estate once served as the summer home of Philander Chase Knox, who held office as U.S. Attorney General, Secretary of State, and U.S. Senator, and is located just over the Knox Covered Bridge. The estate hosts covered outdoor celebrations for up to 200 guests from April through October. Ceremonies take place on a manicured lawn overlooking wildflowers and Valley Creek, cocktail hour unfolds on a slate patio or amid the period furniture of the estate's living and dining rooms, and receptions are held under a state-of-the-art, fully carpeted 50-by-80-foot tent with built-in event lighting, reclaimed barn wood farm tables, and walnut crossback chairs. A private bridal suite and a private bridesmaids' suite, each with its own powder room, are available for the wedding party. The National Park Service has leased the estate to Valley Forge Park Events, LLC, a partnership between Robert Ryan Catering & Design and The Party Center, which provides event management and day-of coordination for every celebration held on the property.

Operating since 1745, the General Warren Inn is a historic tavern-turned-inn in Malvern, Pennsylvania, in the heart of Chester County's Great Valley. The property began as the "Sign of Admiral Vernon" and later took its current name in honor of Dr. Joseph Warren, a Revolutionary War figure killed at Bunker Hill; over the centuries it has served as a stagecoach stop on the Philadelphia and Lancaster Turnpike, a Seventh-Day worship gathering point, and a temperance hotel before its 1984 restoration brought back its 18th-century character. Today the inn combines eight guest suites with several distinct event settings, including a main dining room, the Warren Tavern, and the Spring House Terrace, a secluded outdoor space built around a 275-year-old springhouse. The terrace's lower level is partially enclosed and heated for year-round use, while "Table 1745," set inside the historic springhouse itself, offers intimate seating for up to six guests with full bar and restroom access nearby.
