Nestled on 120 acres of preserved farmland in New York's upper Hudson River Valley, Historic Barns of Nipmoose is a restored agricultural compound built around three timber-framed barns — the Scottish Barn, the German Barn, and the Corn Crib. The property, owned by The Persistence Foundation, takes its name from Nipmoose Creek, which runs along the farm's border, and is managed as working conservation land cultivated by a local farm family. The Scottish Barn spans 1,800 square feet and accommodates up to 180 seated or 230 standing guests; the German Barn, at 1,380 square feet, seats up to 106 or holds 150 for a cocktail reception. Both barns are handicap accessible and fitted with event lighting. The German Barn also features a lower-level private dressing suite. The Corn Crib serves as a decorative focal point for memorabilia displays, photo booths, and guest book stations. Outdoor ceremony space is included in every rental, with the Aspen grove near the Corn Crib among the most popular locations on the grounds. The venue operates seasonally from mid-May through mid-October, hosts only one wedding per weekend, and welcomes renters' choice of vendors. On-site staff remain present throughout setup, the event, and breakdown.

For more than 140 years, Basin Harbor has been shaped by five generations of the Beach family, beginning in 1882 when Ardelia Beach opened her farmhouse on the shores of Lake Champlain to visitors seeking an escape from the city. What began as a working farm grew, under Allen Penfield Beach, into a full resort with cottages, a golf course, a dance hall, and an airfield — additions that still define the property today. Set on the Vermont shoreline with views across Lake Champlain to the Adirondack Mountains, Basin Harbor now offers dining at Ardelia's restaurant, an 18-hole golf course, a boat club, and lakeside recreation alongside more than a dozen indoor and outdoor event spaces. Waterfront lawns, a tented dock, and historic rooms host everything from intimate dinners to weddings and group events for 300 or more guests, with rain contingency planning and on-site lodging in inn rooms, cottages, and private houses supporting multi-day celebrations.
