Roxborough State Park is a 3,413-acre Colorado state park located approximately 20 minutes southwest of Denver, set against one of Colorado's most dramatic natural backdrops: the Fountain Formation, a series of tilted red sandstone spires that originated more than 300 million years ago. Designated a National Natural Landmark in 1980, the park encompasses distinct plant communities and diverse wildlife — from mule deer and black bears to 145 bird species — making it a setting unlike any traditional event venue. For intimate ceremonies and special events, the park offers two outdoor overlooks along the Fountain Valley Trail. The Fountain Valley Overlook, a short walk from the Visitor Center, features a cleared area framed by the park's iconic red rock formations and accommodates up to 25 guests. The Lyons Overlook, situated half a mile into the valley, includes a wooden deck with sweeping views of the Fountain Formation and also accommodates up to 25 guests. Both locations are available for three-hour rental blocks and require a Special Activity Agreement approved by the park manager.

Boyd Lake State Park is a water-recreation destination in northern Colorado, situated at the westernmost edge of the plains near the foot of Longs Peak in Loveland. The park encompasses 2,082 land acres and 1,700 water surface acres, offering expansive views and an active outdoor setting for group gatherings and special events. The Mariner Point Group Picnic Area accommodates up to 200 guests and is available for exclusive reservation from mid-May through mid-September. The space sits on a secluded peninsula near the marina cove and features a covered pavilion, 20 picnic tables, electricity and running water, food preparation countertops, a volleyball court, horseshoe pits, a private playground, and a dedicated parking lot. Rental includes 12 hours of event time. Groups hosting activities beyond standard picnicking — such as bounce houses — may submit a Special Activity Agreement through the park office. Dao House Rustic Lodge and Retreat Center sits on 81 acres in the Tahosa Valley — a site historically known by Native peoples as the "Valley of Peace" — at 9,200 feet elevation in the Rocky Mountains near Estes Park, Colorado, bordering Rocky Mountain National Park. The property faces Longs Peak (14,250 ft) and has served as a gathering place for retreats, workshops, conferences, and celebrations since reopening under current ownership in 2014. The main lodge is a 37,000-square-foot log structure, one of the largest of its kind in Colorado when it was built in 1985. The main farmhouse dates to 1903, and the property operated as a working agricultural operation for decades before Bob and Jeri Prescott opened it as a public event venue in 2016. The grounds offer multiple outdoor ceremony settings — including a heart-shaped koi pond, a gazebo with panoramic landscape views, and a lush lawn — alongside a 1,500-square-foot courtyard for cocktail gatherings and a recently renovated 3,200-square-foot indoor reception hall.
