Oakland Zoo is a wildlife conservation destination and event venue situated in the scenic hills of Oakland, California, at the edge of Knowland Park. Founded in 1922 by naturalist Henry A. Snow as The Snow Museum, the institution has grown into a nationally accredited zoological park housing over 850 native and exotic animals across habitats that include an African Savanna, Tropical Rain Forest, and the California Trail. The Conservation Society of California, which operates the zoo, earned recognition as a Best Event Space by Oakland Magazine in 2025. Private events are hosted at the Snow Building, a historic indoor-outdoor venue nestled within the zoo's grounds. The space accommodates up to 200 guests for corporate outings, birthday parties, graduation celebrations, weddings, luncheons, and cocktail receptions. Epic Ballroom Our exquisite ballroom was professionally designed with porcelain floors, custom woodworking on every wall, and modern lighting systems for your event to be unforgettable. The grand ballroom can be configured to your taste with multiple full bars and room for over 500 guests. Entrance High ceilings, custom lighting, and chandeliers set the Arya Event Center entrance apart. Our entranceway was designed to make a long-lasting impression. The Henry J. Kaiser Center for the Arts is a newly-remodeled historic building with 5 interior venues, onsite parking, and an outdoor terrace overlooking Oakland's crown jewel, Lake Merritt. The Palm Event Center in the Vineyard is a contemporary winery estate in Livermore Valley Wine Country. Nestled in the rolling hills with a 180-degree view of the vineyards, this private event venue feels like a refuge while still being easily accessible to the Greater Bay Area. Romantic with a touch of glamour, the venue offers interior spaces with cool tones, warm candlelight, and sleek contemporary touches. The main Ballroom is spacious and the perfect canvas for any event decor. The venue also offers indoor and outdoor ceremony sites for couples to choose from. Indoors, couples may marry inside a large barrel room with customizable lighting and the ability to hang additional lighting and decor. Outside, couples may marry on the lawn overlooking the vineyards. There is also an outdoor terrace patio for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres while watching the sunset. In addition to beautiful spaces, the venue also offers 5-hour event times, in-house catering, and a 4.5-hour full open bar. Included in all wedding packages are everything needed to host a reception - tables, chiavari chairs, linens, place settings, and glassware. Service staff and a day-of coordinator to handle all logistics are also provided. For weddings with a style of cuisine that the Palm culinary staff does not specialize in (to be determined by the Palm - i.e. Indian, Traditional 8-Course Chinese/Vietnamese, or Persian), couples are allowed to contract with exclusive outside caterers. Custom-built for weddings, the bespoke venue is precisely tailored in its spaces, menus, and offerings to give clients the perfect wedding.

Wente Vineyards is the country's oldest, continuously operated family-owned winery, founded in 1883. The venue features a Grand Salon reception room, large enough to accommodate up to 400 guests, but intimate for smaller guest counts. In addition to reception space, indoor and outdoor ceremony sites are available. Outdoors, couples may marry under a lush arbor within the venue's walled garden. Inside, couples may marry in the Amber Room, a gorgeous ceremony room that features a large limestone-carved fireplace, ambient lighting, and large wooden doors for a dramatic wedding party entrance. In addition to the venue itself, Casa Real also is the in-house caterer. Providing elegant, fine-dining meals for guests and serving wine from the next-door Ruby Hill Winery. Packages include all that is needed to host a meal for friends and family - tables, chairs, linens, place settings, the meal, 4.5-hour full open bar, and service.
