Temescal Beach House is a historic lakeside event venue in Oakland's Temescal Regional Recreation Area, situated along the shores of Lake Temescal near the intersection of Highway 13 and Highway 24. The structure was built by the Works Progress Administration and opened to the public in 1940, originally serving as changing facilities for park visitors and the original headquarters of the East Bay Regional Park District. Today the venue is managed by the East Bay Regional Park District and welcomes weddings, corporate events, holiday parties, fundraisers, and private celebrations. The Beach House offers two connected indoor rooms and a large outdoor flagstone patio. The Fireside Room seats up to 56 guests around a gas fireplace, while the adjoining Lakeview Meeting Room seats 24 and features large windows framing views of the calm lake. Together the rooms accommodate up to 80 guests seated or 130 standing. The wraparound flagstone patio — bordered by a vertical garden with panoramic lake views — serves as a popular ceremony and reception extension. Included amenities span a prep kitchen with refrigerator, freezer, and microwave; heating and air conditioning; Wi-Fi; a 65-inch television with soundbar; a dressing room; tables and 90 white resin chairs; and a dedicated 15-space parking lot. Sorensdale Recreation Center is a community event venue in Hayward, California, operated by the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District. Located at 275 Goodwin Street in a quiet cul-de-sac setting near Tennyson High School, the center underwent a full renovation in 2016 and now offers a modern, welcoming environment for private events. Lone Tree Golf & Event Center has been a popular among Bay Area golfers since it opened its doors in 1934. The sloping topography, which lies at the foot of Mount Diablo State Park, affords amazing views of the surrounding Delta region. The course's layout combines ample landing zones that promote playability with fascinating green complexes that provide just the right amount of difficulty for players of all skill levels. Fern Cottage is an intimate event venue operated by the East Bay Regional Park District, nestled amongst ferns and groves of redwood trees within Kennedy Grove Regional Recreation Area in El Sobrante, California. Once a park residence and later a senior center, the 1,000-square-foot cottage sits on a landscaped property featuring two outdoor decks and a private enclosed backyard with a lawn and garden — an easy-to-miss woodland retreat within the East Bay hills. The cottage accommodates up to 60 guests for seated receptions indoors and up to 130 guests overall, making it a natural fit for micro weddings, celebrations, bridal and baby showers, small workshops, and retreats. The interior features two rooms arranged in an L-shape, a cozy gas fireplace, and a full kitchen with refrigerator, freezer, six-burner range with oven, and microwave. A covered back deck (30 by 16 feet) and a front deck (16 by 20 feet) extend the usable space outdoors into the surrounding eucalyptus and redwood setting. The facility includes WiFi, an A/V system with screen, projector, and speakers, plus tables and chairs for up to 75 guests. Wheelchair ramp access and accessible restrooms are available on-site.

Minimonies at Ravenswood At Ravenswood Historic Site, we are introducing outdoor "minimonies" (mini-ceremonies). Exchange your vows in an outdoor environment with up to 50 guests while keeping all aspects of social distancing in mind. Choose from a romantic garden gazebo, a rustic covered tree patch, or the classic shaded tree archway for your ceremony. Included are the bride's room, tables, chairs, restrooms, parking, and a building attendant. Applicants have the option of hosting a small event with a champagne toast and individually prepared food. A minimum of four (4) hours is required; any additional hours will be charged at the hourly rental rate. Facility Event Rental Process at Ravenswood Applications are accepted eighteen (18) months in advance of the requested date, on a first-come, first served basis; preferred dates, times, and facility location vary. Applicants must submit a completed and signed Facility Rental Application, as well as a refundable deposit, to book and reserve the day. All other rental fees must be paid 45 days before the event date. If applicants want to rent with the Livermore Area Recreation and Park District, they must understand and obey the Facility Rental Rules and Regulations.
