VISION The vision for The Norwood was to restore the glory of being a place for entertainment and celebration of life’s best moments - Originally a Theatre from 1915 to 1949, The Norwood is now Detroit’s newest Industrial Event Venue & Downstairs Bar Lounge (Intermission) with 7,000 square ft and 3 floors. HISTORY In 1915, the architectural firm William S. Jay & Co. designed & opened The Norwood Theatre. It was then demolished in the summer of 1941 to allow for road widening. A new Norwood Theatre was built on the site designed in an Art Deco style, but eventually closed in 1949….

The Ford Avenue Piquette Plant was built in 1904 by the fledgling Ford Motor Company. It was here that Henry Ford would produce several car models- including his most famous automobile- the Model T. Once outside the plant's walls, the Model T started a revolution that would put the world on wheels. OUR ORGANIZATION The Model-T Automotive Heritage Complex, Inc., (doing business as) the Ford Piquette Avenue Plant, was organized in 2000 as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization for the purpose of preserving the Plant and keeping it from being demolished. Open year round as a Museum and education center, the plant now attracts visitors from around the world. It provides special programs and events for bus tours, families, and scores of people attending public and private events from car shows to weddings. The Ford Piquette Avenue Plant (FPAP) is managed by a Board of Trustees and volunteer committees. The historic site is financially self-supported. It is not affiliated with Ford Motor Company or Ford Foundation.

Ford Community & Performing Arts Center is a multi-use cultural venue operated by the City of Dearborn Recreation Department, located on Michigan Avenue in Dearborn, Michigan. The center has served Metro Detroit and Southeast Michigan as a destination for diverse events spanning classical music performances, theatrical productions, weddings, trade shows, and fundraising galas. At the heart of the complex sits the Michael A. Guido Theater, a 1,201-seat proscenium house designed to evoke a classic renaissance theater in a modern setting, with wood and plaster wall panels, a professional L'Acoustics line array sound system, a Christie 25,000-lumen projector with a 30-foot by 25-foot screen, and a Steinway Concert D grand piano. A spring-loaded dance floor and full rigging system round out its technical capabilities.
