Philip A. Hart Plaza is a 14-acre outdoor civic space on the Detroit River in downtown Detroit, opened in 1975 and named for late U.S. Senator Philip A. Hart. Designed by Smith, Hinchman, and Grylls with sculptor Isamu Noguchi, the plaza is anchored by the Horace E. Dodge and Son Memorial Fountain — a 30-foot stainless steel fountain with 300 jets and 300 computerized lights — along with the 120-foot stainless steel Pylon. The site marks the location where Antoine de la Mothe Cadillac founded Detroit in 1701, and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2024. With a capacity of up to 40,000 guests, Hart Plaza hosts the Detroit International Jazz Festival, Movement Electronic Music Festival, African World Festival, Motor City Pride, and the Windsor–Detroit International Freedom Festival each year. The plaza connects directly to the Detroit Riverwalk and features two open-air amphitheaters, Pylon Square, the Pyramid Theater, kitchen facilities, and river views across to Windsor, Ontario.

Built in 1927 and designed in the atmospheric style to evoke an outdoor Japanese theatre, the Redford Theatre is a historic Detroit movie palace that has been owned and operated by the Motor City Theatre Organ Society since 1977. The building retains its original Japanese-inspired murals, ornate chandelier lighting, and a 3-manual, 10-rank Barton pipe organ — installed when the theatre first opened to accompany silent films. The main auditorium seats 1,610 guests across a main floor, loge, and balcony, with no supporting pillars to obstruct sightlines from any seat. The 40-foot-wide proscenium stage is backed by a full 4-story dressing room tower with multiple rooms and restrooms. For film and multimedia events, the space is equipped with 35mm, 70mm, and 16mm projectors, digital cinema projectors, an advanced Dolby sound system, and a professional lighting console with 55 dimmers and LED fixtures. Free parking for 168 vehicles is available in two adjacent lots. The theatre's atmospheric ceiling — lit with stars and cloud projectors — recreates the signature effect for which architect John Eberson's atmospheric-style theatres became known in the 1920s. Two grand pianos are also available for performing events.

Western Golf & Country Club is a member-owned private country club established in 1926 in Redford, Michigan, and celebrating its centennial in 2026. Nicknamed "The Club of Good Fellowship," the property spans more than 170 acres centered on a championship golf course designed by Donald Ross and opened in 1927 — with tree-lined fairways, subtle greens, and the Rouge River winding through the layout. The course has historically hosted the Michigan Open (1939 and 1951) and the Motor City Open (1956). Following a 2018 fire that destroyed the original clubhouse, the club built a new facility from the ground up, reopening in 2021. The rebuilt clubhouse houses four dining venues and serves as the setting for a private events program covering weddings, showers, golf outings, business events, birthday parties, and holiday gatherings. The St. George Hall is the larger of the two, featuring cathedral-style ceilings, brass chandeliers with wall sconce accents, a parquet wood dance floor, and a large curtained stage suited for live bands, head tables, and DJs. The Metes Hall offers a more intimate setting with a built-in bar, its own parquet wood dance floor, and recessed ceiling lighting.
