  THE ROOM OF THE BLACKSMITH We used to have a blacksmith shop in our private dining room, which was originally part of the working quarry. The forge, which was the hearth of the blacksmith, was where granite cutting tools were created, repaired, and sharpened. The Blacksmith Room is decorated with wrought-iron chandeliers, skylights, and vintage sconces that were imported from Europe. When set up as a king-style table, the room can comfortably accommodate 22 guests, or up to 30 people when set up as 5 tables of 6. The perfect setting for a rehearsal dinner, business presentation, family gathering, or cocktail party. THE ROOM WITH THE STONES There are large dark wood bamboo dividers separating this private function space from the main dining room, creating a spacious event space with stone-walled cathedral ceilings, wall mounted wine racks, and floor to ceiling windows. Tucked away toward the front of the building, The Stone Room is the ideal setting for your special occasion or reception. Can accommodate a 30-person event, complete with buffet and cake serving areas as well as gift-giving areas DESCRIPTION OF THE QUARRY ROOM Our Main Dining Room, which overlooks our granite quarry and patio, provides breathtaking views through a wall of full-height glass windows. The Captain Morse House, a beautiful piece of Edgartown's history, was built in the Greek Revival style in 1840 and is a National Historic Landmark. Captain Morse sailed to the California gold fields from his wharf at the foot of his street, where he lived in a boarding house. As a result of its preservation of its original character, the house is considered to be an exceptionally fine example of a NE Whaling Captain's Home. Guests staying at the house are invited to a few special events each year, which are announced in advance. We cater to groups who want the Ultimate Location for a reunion, birthday celebration or a mini/micro wedding. All our homes are Located in the outer portion of Cape Cod in the small towns of Eastham and East Orleans. Eastham is a great town for vacations in Cape Cod. With the town only being a couple of miles wide, you are not far from the Bay or Ocean. The Bay offers great walking/exploring of the flats at low tide and is an easy walk from our rental properties and the ocean is only a short drive or bike ride away. Our homes in Eastham are within walking distance to the Cape Cod Rail Trail bike path. Also close by is the Hemingway Landing, where you can dig your own shellfish, or drop a small boat and go striper fishing in Town Cove. Down the road is the Wellfleet Drive-In Theatre that offers the infamous flea market by day and movie by night. Provincetown is only a 20- to 30-minute drive away and a great place to book a Whale Watch. There are several festivals that occur in Eastham and the surrounding towns throughout the year. There are also numerous hiking trails at the Wellfleet Audubon Society nearby and a one of a kind experience at the National Seashore. East Orleans, is home to Nauset Beach, the first longest National Seashore Beach, accessible by car. You are able to get a beach pass to drive on the beach but you must plan ahead.
