We are able to accommodate parties up to 50 people, and work closely with our clients to design an experience and menu that is uniquely memorable. Taylor Ranch is a fifth-generation, privately owned 500-acre working Quarter Horse and Texas Longhorn cattle ranch in Cane Creek Valley, fifteen minutes from Asheville, North Carolina. Built in 1845 on land that John Ashworth first settled around 1801, the inn was enlarged by Bedford Sherrill in 1834 to serve travelers crossing Hickory Nut Gap — a waystation for stagecoach passengers and livestock drovers that drew prominent guests including President Millard Fillmore in 1854 and Mary Ann Morrison, who later became the second wife of Stonewall Jackson. Lioncrest and Deerpark are two historic event venues on the grounds of Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina; each with a distinct architectural character rooted in the estate's working agricultural past. Lioncrest, originally part of Biltmore's dairy complex and listed on the National Historic Register, combines a covered open-air Veranda (its three walls of floor-to-ceiling windows framing views of surrounding woodland and a private courtyard) with an upper-level Grand Ballroom featuring a soaring vaulted ceiling, exposed beams, wrought iron chandeliers, and large etched glass windows. The combination is equally suited to intimate ceremonies and receptions of up to 320 guests. Deerpark, designed by Richard Morris Hunt (the same architect behind Biltmore House), was originally built as a calving barn and converted into a restaurant in 1979.
