The Stacy C. Sherwood Community Center sits in the heart of the City of Fairfax, adjacent to Van Dyck Park and within walking distance of Old Town Fairfax. Operated by the City of Fairfax, the community center offers three flexible rental spaces suited to everything from an intimate meeting to a wedding reception. The Performance Space is the center's largest room, with a wood dance floor and room for up to 333 seated guests or 500 for a standing reception when rented in full; it can also be rented as a half-space accommodating 167 seated or 250 standing. The Mason Family Rehearsal Space holds up to 70 guests, and the Greenfield Family Art Room accommodates up to 60, giving planners smaller options for rehearsal dinners, meetings, and private parties alongside the center's larger events. Rentals include tables and chairs, and the venue is suited to weddings, large events, meetings, and artistic performances, with rental hours extending into the evening on weekends.

Historic Blenheim is a Civil War-era estate in the City of Fairfax, Virginia, operated by the City as an event venue and interpretive center. The centerpiece is a Greek-Revival/Georgian brick house built around 1859 for the Willcoxon family, where Federal soldiers left graffiti on the interior walls during the winter of 1862-63 — a detail that has made the property a stop on both the Virginia Civil War Trails and the Northern Virginia Graffiti Trail. The adjoining Civil War Interpretive Center houses a gallery with a full-sized replica of the house's attic and glass walls that look out over the historic grounds. Set on 12 secluded acres, the property combines that historic backdrop with modern event amenities, making it suited to weddings, anniversary parties, bar and bat mitzvahs, and meetings alike — even a routine meeting takes on a different character in the space. Prince William, Virginia's Bel Air 1740 is a sophisticated, new English garden venue that is located approximately 25 minutes south of Washington, DC in Prince William. Beloved Bel Air is a private 25 acre enclave of spectacular rural beauty nestled in the heart of a bustling urban region with easy access to Uber / taxi service as well as a wide variety of hotels, restaurants, and other services. Because of its beautiful rolling fields, elegant lawns, and lovely English gardens, Bel Air 1740 is a beautiful venue for indoor and outdoor receptions, pictures, and ceremonies. It also has a new Wedding Barn for ceremonies and receptions. The 7000 square foot climate controlled wedding barn has a capacity of 150 guests (with a permit, it may accommodate up to 200+ guests). A wheelchair accessible facility on a single level has been constructed. An imposing great hall with 25 foot ceilings and a cutting edge theatrical sound and lighting system are among the many highlights of the barn. The barn is equipped with two large ready rooms, a huge warming kitchen, and a wide covered terrace that can be enclosed with glass panels and heated during the colder months. Outdoor ceremonies and cocktail receptions can be held in a variety of locations on the picturesque grounds and against the historic Bel Air Manor House background. Hendry House is a historic building set within Fort C.F. Smith Park, a 19-acre property in Arlington that includes a lush tree canopy, an open meadow, and a partially preserved 1863 Civil War fort. The house itself offers four separate meeting rooms, a large kitchen for caterers, front and side porches, and a separate changing room for wedding parties. The venue accommodates up to 65 guests seated or 85 standing indoors, with room for up to 150 guests when a tent is added on the adjoining lawn, making it suited to weddings, rehearsal dinners, and private meetings alike. EVENTS AT HQO Make your next event a one-of-a-kind experience by hosting it in the new DC Water headquarters in Navy Yard. There are breathtaking vistas of the Anacostia River from every one of our event rooms. The building, which is LEED Platinum+ certified, is constructed of undulating glass and lies on the brink of the river. The rotunda is reached through a 13270 square foot lobby that runs around the whole structure. The open entryway's walls describe the space's one-of-a-kind design on the inside. It is a wonderful space for receptions, happy hour gatherings, dancing, and brief performances in the rotunda. It has the capacity to hold up to 200 people. HQO was designed to be built around an existing pump station, giving it its distinctive shape. Throughout the foyer, there are various cut-outs that lead to the pumping station. Albi is the chef/owner Michael Rafidi's first solo restaurant venture in New York City. Esquire and Robb Report Magazines named Chef Rafidi as the Best New Restaurant in 2020, drawing inspiration from his family's Palestinian roots and bringing to the table an experience that melds the ancient tradition of the region's coal-fired cuisine with local, seasonal ingredients and a refined culinary acumen. With the help of Wine Director William Simons, the restaurant offers an eclectic, international wine program that is anchored by offerings from countries throughout the eastern Mediterranean, including Palestine, Lebanon, and Turkey. The wine list, which is constantly evolving, includes categories such as Savory Whites and Smoky Reds - all of which have been selected to complement Chef Rafidi's menus. Albi, a restaurant in Washington, D.C.'s Navy Yard neighborhood, is owned and operated by Michael Rafidi, who is also the chef. A creative update to traditional Arabic cuisine, using Modern techniques and the best ingredients the Mid-Atlantic has to offer, the menus are offered at the restaurant. His Palestinian ancestors and his grandmother's cooking served as inspiration for this piece. Rafidi spent a countless number of years cooking everything but Arabic food all over the country until he decided to open Albi in 2017. Rafidi was named Eater DC's Chef of the Year in 2017 and was a finalist for the RAMMY Award for Rising Star Chef at the 2018 RAMMY Awards, which were presented by the Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington. Rafidi spent six years working alongside Michael Mina as executive chef of the acclaimed French restaurant RN74 in San Francisco, as well as the Mina Group's corporate chef, before making his mark on the District's restaurant scene. He assisted the culinary management of the group's multinational properties and was instrumental in the opening of eight of those concepts in his capacity as a consultant.
