From Galveston to Houston In 1870 a group of Masons gathered frequently for lunch at the Knickerbocker Cottage on Sixth Avenue in New York City. At a special table on the second floor, a particularly fun-loving group of men met regularly. Among the regulars were Walter M. Fleming, M.D. and William J. “Billy” Florence, an actor. The group frequently talked about starting a new fraternity for Masons – one centered on fun and fellowship, more than ritual. Fleming and Florence took this idea seriously enough to do something about it. ​ Billy Florence had been on tour in France and had been invited to a party given by an Arabian diplomat. The exotic style, flavors, and music of the Arabian-themed party inspired him to suggest this as a theme for the new fraternity. Walter Fleming, a devoted fraternity brother, built on Fleming’s ideas and used his knowledge of fraternal ritual to transform the Arabian theme into the Ancient Arabic Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine (A.A.O.N.M.S.). ​ With the help of the Knickerbocker Cottage regulars, Fleming drafted the ritual, designed the emblem and costumes, formulated a salutation and declared that members would wear the red fez. The first meeting of Mecca Shriners, the first temple (chapter) established in the United States, was held September 26, 1872. As word got out about the fledgling organization, membership grew rapidly, spreading across the U.S. In the early 1900s, membership spread into Canada, Mexico, and Panama. Today, Shriners International is a fraternity with nearly 200 temples in several countries, thousands of clubs around the world and hundreds of thousands of members dedicated to the principles of brotherly love, relief and truth.

All Occasions Event Hall is a Greenville, South Carolina–area event venue built to host weddings, quinceañeras, birthdays, and other celebrations under one roof. Founded by a team that started in video, photography, and event decor before opening a full event hall, the venue brings a designer's eye to every gathering. The hall accommodates up to 200 seated guests and comes stocked with 20-plus rectangular tables, 20-plus round tables, and 200 folding chairs for flexible layouts. Beyond straightforward hall rental, the venue offers all-inclusive decor packages scaled from 50 to 160 guests, each covering a head table with backdrop, cake and gift tables, linens, chair covers and sashes, centerpieces, charger plates, cloth napkins, and post-event cleanup. Rentals are available by the day or by the hour, seven days a week, and the team offers a free consultation to plan each event.

Constructed in 1995 and renovated in 2011, the Humble Civic Center & Arena Complex is a large event venue in Humble, Texas, just a short drive from George Bush Intercontinental Airport and the greater Houston area. The center offers over 22,000 square feet of indoor event space, including three ballrooms and four breakout meeting areas that can be configured or combined to suit gatherings of many sizes. Beyond its ballrooms, the venue's Arena and Expo Complex adds more than 60,000 square feet built for outdoor events, and the center has hosted large festivals, music events, and rodeos in addition to conventions, banquets, and private celebrations. With flexible indoor and outdoor space under one roof, the Humble Civic Center accommodates everything from intimate meetings to large-scale gatherings for thousands of guests.

River Rendezview is a wedding location located 60 miles south of Houston in Brazoria, Texas, overlooking the San Bernard River. An 1800s style Paddle Boat, River Grace Chapel, a 400-year-old oak tree, Party Barn, and screened Patio/Deck overlooking the river are just a few of the options available to help make your day special. This location can serve as your one-stop wedding shop; you bring the groom and the gown, and we will take care of the rest. A wedding chapel, restaurant, numerous reception venues, and a Bed & Breakfast are all part of the property. This venue is warm and inviting, with an elegant country feel. This waterfront location boasts a party barn that can accommodate up to 400 people and is great for a shabby chic wedding or country-style event. A big screened-in porch area near to the river also provides for an unforgettable outdoor patio wedding. It can be used as an extension of the party barn for cocktails and mingling, with a capacity of 250 people. For a rehearsal supper or a small gathering, you can use the Finger Pier on the River or the Yellowstone boat and Dido's Restaurant. The wedding room features three huge makeup mirrors as well as space for the bride's entourage, making it the ideal location for getting ready. The wonderful pipe draperies, lighting, and decor at River Rendezview will enhance and change your celebration. The paddle boat, which can be embellished with white lace and accent colors, can also be used by you and your guests. Available only to pre-approved event planners and caterers, and restricted only by your imagination and Dos Arbolitos' inspiration. Let your creativity go wild with weddings, corporate events, and family gatherings. Our Story The trees attracted us when we first walked into the land that would become Dos Arbolitos. A unique mix of towering bull pines, large post oaks, pin oaks, burr oaks, and live oaks grew alongside massive post oaks, pin oaks, burr oaks, and live oaks. The forest was alive with birds and there were acres of yellow coreopsis. Our goal has been to make this incredible setting our home while maintaining the natural beauty and calm that drew us to the property in the first place. We wanted to retain the solitude, tranquility, and serenity of the old forest by surrounding our new home inside it, as well as develop and conserve the unique woodland setting we had fallen in love with. We wanted to capture the sounds and sensations of the woods while also honoring the land and paying homage to early twentieth-century Texas. Everything we did in the construction of Dos Arbolitos was done with a distinct feeling of care. We tried to remember that special feeling we had the first day we walked onto the land and were calmed by the cool breezes in the middle of summer, enchanted by the choir of birds singing in the virgin forest, and eventually swept away by the natural woodland beauty of this place we knew would become our home with each step we took. Now we want to share Dos Arbolitos' beauty and peace with others.

Ceremonies held in the open air Our private patio, which overlooks Clear Lake, can accommodate up to 150 guests and provides picturesque views of the lake. Have your ceremony on the water's edge at sunset for the most beautiful backdrop! The use of our Wooden Arch on the Patio is permitted by the property owner. In order to use the patio chairs, the client is responsible for renting their own chairs. Ceremonies held indoors The view from our indoor ceremony setup is particularly beautiful during the summer months or when there are a lot of guests. It is impossible to go wrong with this venue for your wedding, which can accommodate up to 275 guests and has floor to ceiling windows. Receptions From the traditional to the rustic... Our grand ballroom, which spans over 4000 square feet, can accommodate up to 250 guests in comfortable seating.
