  Massie Heritage Center occupies a Greek Revival building completed in 1856 on Taylor Square in downtown Savannah — the oldest continuously operating educational facility in the city and a property listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Designed by architect John Norris, the building served as a public school for 118 years before being converted into a museum and heritage interpretation center operated by the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System.
