Scarritt Bennett Center is a nonprofit conference, retreat, and education center set on a 10-acre historic campus in Nashville. The campus began more than 100 years ago as the School for Christian Workers and today welcomes weddings, receptions, and private events alongside its ongoing mission-based programming. At the heart of the campus is Wightman Chapel, built in classic Gothic cathedral style in 1928 and designed with acoustics that resonate throughout the space. The Rev. The brewery makes beer with an emphasis on simplicity and quality, and its current home includes a taproom, beer garden, and several private event spaces built into the working production facility. The Pick Inn is a family-owned event venue in Gallatin, Tennessee, about 40 minutes north of Nashville and directly across the street from Bledsoe Creek State Park. The property was purchased from Joy and Jesse McReynolds of the bluegrass duo "Jim & Jesse" — the venue's name is a nod to Jesse, since a fiddle player is traditionally called a "picker" in bluegrass music. Father-daughter owners Don Mercer and Amanda Jackson took over and renovated the property in 2015 after Amanda was married there in 2014, and have since hosted more than 250 weddings on site. The venue offers three areas to choose from, including a covered and heated pavilion, making it suited to both rustic and elegant celebrations in any season. A rustic log cabin on the property gives wedding parties space to get ready before the ceremony. The property spans three counties and centers on a two-acre stocked pond, with nature trails, fire pits, and free-roaming wildlife setting a countryside backdrop for weddings, corporate retreats, and family gatherings. At the heart of the farm is the Event Center, with two connected pavilions offering more than 5,500 square feet of covered space for up to 150 guests, alongside an 825-square-foot party pad and stage, a catering prep room, and separate dressing facilities for the wedding party. Couples select their own vendors and may bring in an ABC-certified bartender, giving weddings here a build-your-own-day flexibility.
