Kalamazoo Nature Center is a 1,100-acre nonprofit nature preserve and environmental education campus set in the wooded, rolling countryside five miles north of Kalamazoo, Michigan. The Hayloft Theatre is a restored 1902 barn relocated to Portage, Michigan's Celery Flats Historical Area in 1992, where it has served as a performance venue and private event space. Its interior features vaulted wood-beamed ceilings and a 35-by-45-foot floor plan capable of accommodating up to 120 guests at tables or 180 guests for standing receptions. Available for private rentals from May through October, the theatre is well suited for weddings, receptions, and celebrations that call for a historic barn setting. The Celery Flats Historical Area provides a distinctive backdrop, and the building's turn-of-the-century character lends itself to both rustic and elegant event aesthetics. Scotts Mill County Park spans 110 acres in Scotts, Michigan, and has served Kalamazoo County since 1976, when it opened as the county's Bi-Centennial Project. Heritage Glen Golf Club is an 18-hole championship course designed by Jerry Matthews and established in the mid-1990s, set in Paw Paw, Michigan, in the heart of the state's wine country. The course features a well-forested setting with significant landscape variety — from pine-lined holes with a Northwoods character to open fairways with a Scottish links-style design. The club hosts weddings, private parties, and business meetings year-round in its banquet facility, which overlooks the golf course and accommodates up to 250 guests. The Lawrence Town Hall is a historic 1902 building located at 122 W. St. Joseph in Lawrence, Michigan, and one of three buildings listed on the Michigan Register of Historic Sites. Built to serve the Van Buren County community, the hall spent decades as a cultural center — hosting plays, recitals, concerts, films, and touring Vaudeville acts through the 1920s and 1930s. The building also housed the township offices and a jail during its early years. Since 2010, the Lawrence Town Hall Preservation Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, has managed the building with a mission to maintain public access and preserve its historic character. Today the hall is available for private rental, with options to book the full building — main floor and basement — or a single floor for smaller gatherings and daytime functions. Events serving alcohol require a certificate of insurance submitted two weeks in advance.
