The Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse is a cultural landmark and event venue located at 1770 13th Street in Boulder, Colorado. The building itself is a work of art: a 1987 sister-city gift from Dushanbe, Tajikistan to Boulder, its hand-carved cedar columns, Persian-painted ceilings, and eight exterior ceramic panels depicting the Tree of Life were crafted by more than 40 Tajik artisans working entirely without power tools. After a decade in storage, the teahouse was assembled in Boulder and opened in 1998, making it one of the most architecturally distinctive venues in the Rocky Mountain region. Over the past century, the building has served as a candy shop, a photo studio, restaurants, and a private residence, and today its exposed vintage brick and hardwood floors anchor five distinct event spaces spanning more than 4,000 square feet. The venue accommodates groups from 10 to 150 guests across spaces ranging from the intimate Creek Room with floor-to-ceiling water views, to the Loft with direct sightlines to the Flatirons, to the Agora Room — a 1,320-square-foot main hall with a built-in stage and full A/V that seats up to 120 guests.
