The Claudette restaurant is named after Claudette Sammut, the 91 year-old mother of Guy Sammut, who with his wife Reine own two beautiful restaurants and a small hotel in Loumarin. Carlos stumbled upon the property on a sunny October afternoon and was so inspired by the beautiful setting, Reine’s food, Guy’s incredible warmth, and the Sammut family’s story, that he asked Guy – before dessert was even served – if they could name the restaurant after his mother. Luckily, he said yes. Claudette is available for private dining & large-party events such as cocktail receptions, dinners, wedding receptions and more.

While you’re here, why not join a 150-year-old tradition and explore the lake in a rented rowboat. Better yet, take a ride in an authentic Venetian gondola. With any luck, your gondolier might even break into song. Facility Rental Fee: The venue does not charge a rental fee, but there is a guest minimum—Saturday evening’s minimum is 165 guests, and for Friday or Sunday the minimum is 125 guests. What’s Included: -Five hour exclusive access to Lake Room, at 4,300 sq. ft space that is located adjacent to the restaurant. During the event, our culinary team and lead sommelier will briefly discuss the history and preparation of the Italian food courses, the origin and characteristics of the wines, and the nature of each pairing. Merchants Cigar Bar, which opened in 1996, is a modern lounge with a midcentury design that takes visitors back in time. True to the era of the opulent Havana High Life, indoor smoking is permitted, fresh ingredients are used in cocktails, and music is played until the wee hours of the morning. The architecture and furnishings in merchants are appealing and genuine; every component is a fresh take on traditional design. Visitors descend a beautiful mahogany paneled staircase that is accented with brass, illuminated by diffused light, and features floor to ceiling bronze mirrors. Upon entering the lounge, visitors are greeted to the right by an opulent handcrafted brass bar, while couples and bigger groups are welcomed to the left by quaint tables and custom leather booths.
