Longacre House is a historic banquet facility in Farmington Hills, Michigan, housed in a 20-room Georgian country house that began as a six-room Victorian residence built in 1869 by Palmer Sherman. In 1918 the home was redesigned and expanded to include four porches, seven baths, and a greenhouse; a final remodeling in 1930 added the library. Silver Garden Events Center occupies a 1959 International Style building in Southfield, Michigan, designed by Michigan Modernist architect Louis G. Redstone. Originally constructed as B'nai David Synagogue, the building is noted for its sanctuary designed in the round, distinctive stained glass windows, and an undulating ceiling with a glass window wall in the social hall. The Moslem Shrine acquired and converted the property in 2003, and the venue now operates as a full-service banquet center. Two ballrooms define the event experience.
