Frankies 457’s private event space is a converted blacksmith’s stable located in the garden behind their restaurant at 457 Court Street in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. The rustic brick building, constructed in the early 1900’s, can accommodate up to 40 people for a family-style dinner or up to 50 guests for a buffet event with scattered seating. For events of 41 to 70 guests, our Stable Garden space may be added to the Stable for expanded seating. The Stable Garden is located directly outside the Stable. For an indoor/outdoor event, the Stable doors slide completely open allowing free-flow between the spaces. A few months into the COVID-19 pandemic, Jarrod Fox and Taylor Lintz decided they wanted to bring back the joy of entertainment that the Williamsburg community was lacking. Taking inspiration from an outdoor movie theater, Jarrod figured if people can get together and socially distance themselves to watch a movie, he could find a way to make the same thing happen with a bar. His idea, TailGate Outdoor Sports Bar, grew larger as he approached a number of venues with the concept. Taylor then quit her full-time day job to take over operations and help invest in the bar, and the rest is history. TailGate Outdoor Sports Bar was made with COVID-19 in mind to create a one-of-a-kind bar and entertainment experience. Each table fits up to 10 guests, has its own heater if needed, a 65 inch TV, a QR Code for contactless food and beverage orders, and a hand sanitizing station. Parties sit 7-8 feet apart or have plexiglass to keep a safe distance while enjoying live music, sports, food, and drinks. From the outside, it appears to be a typical brown stone factory building in the middle of the old and industrial part of LIC, Queens, which is typical of many places in New York City. Very vintage in appearance, and you can only imagine how many stories this wedding venue could have to tell given its over 100-year existence. Furthermore, celebrating the wedding of Yvonne and Jack with family and friends in this magnificent building was a perfect fit. We started early to make the most of the many floors that this wedding venue had to offer, giddy with anticipation for the big day to finally arrive. The main (2nd Floor) is a beautiful setting for your wedding reception, ceremony, and even dinner, depending on the size of your wedding reception party. The entire space is ethereal, filled with earthy colors and brick walls, as well as gorgeous wooden floors. She opened a retail flower shop 3 years ago and found that every single person that entered her store was stunned by the 25 foot tall ceilings, the massive chandelier and the general beauty of the space. Walk in customers would step right over a black rope that was put up for boundaries and look around the space in awe! This building, once an old door factory with two floors, was gutted by the architectural genius and landlord. These walls, this corner, this neighborhood married with the floral expertise of Rebecca and her team have led her to open this very special, unique and intimate space.
