San Mateo County History Museum occupies the restored historic courthouse at 2200 Broadway in downtown Redwood City, a landmark Beaux-Arts building with a stained glass dome, mosaic tile floors, and stately marble columns. The museum has been operated by the San Mateo County Historical Association since 1935 and holds accreditation from the American Alliance of Museums — a distinction held since 1972, placing it among fewer than 5% of accredited museums in the United States. The courthouse offers several distinct rental spaces for weddings, corporate gatherings, and private celebrations. The First Floor Rotunda accommodates up to 200 guests beneath its magnificent domed ceiling, and is well suited for ceremonies, receptions, and dancing. Courtroom A, a magnificently restored courtroom with its own stained glass ceiling, hosts seated dinners of up to 150 guests. The venue also offers a Carriage House with a catering kitchen, a meeting room, and an option to rent the entire courthouse for larger events. In-house catering is not provided; the museum maintains an approved caterer list. An A/V system is available in Courtroom A.

San Mateo County Event Center is a 48-acre public assembly facility in San Mateo, California, situated between the 92 and 101 freeways and within 30 minutes of three major Bay Area airports — SFO, SJC, and OAK. Founded in 1926 as a small flower show, the center has grown into one of the Bay Area's leading destinations for consumer and trade events, corporate gatherings, festivals, concerts, and sporting events. The campus features seven buildings encompassing over 195,000 square feet of indoor exhibit space, plus 10 acres of landscaped outdoor grounds. Event spaces range from the 104,900-square-foot Expo Hall, accommodating up to 10,000 standing guests, down to the carpeted Event Pavilion, which seats 250 for banquets. The Cypress Hall, recently renovated with new carpet and sound-dampening walls, divides into three separate spaces for breakout sessions or intimate dinners. The open-air Central Mall provides an outdoor setting for picnics, concerts, and festivals for up to 5,000 guests. In-house food and beverage service, alcohol options, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a dedicated event coordinator are available across the facility. We are a non profit corporation. When the San Mateo Garden Center opened its doors in 1975, it was the culmination of a long-held ambition made possible with the assistance of the City of San Mateo. In order to generate, encourage, and preserve beauty in the community, the center will share gardening knowledge and provide opportunities for volunteers to engage in the process. We have a Garden Shop where you may purchase plants for your home or business. This is a fund raising venture that also serves as a permanent educational and horticultural propagation center for the community. Venue The San Mateo Garden Center is a beautiful location. We can be found at 605 Parkside Way in San Mateo, California. A spacious main hall with seating for 115 people and a smaller chamber with seating for 38 people are available to us. The bottom garden may be seen from this room. Tables and chairs are provided for the setup of an event. We have a kitchen available to our guests. Additionally, we have a lovely gazebo and terrace where many weddings are hosted each year. It has a beautiful view of the pond and a flowing waterfall. This site is frequently used for receptions, cocktail parties, meetings, anniversaries, and memorial services. We have three different event spaces to choose from for your next event, all of which include access to a kitchen for catering purposes. One of our event spaces is a Gazebo located outdoors which is a popular space for wedding ceremonies.

Create Mix & Mingle is a creative event studio located at 25 N Kingston Street in the heart of San Mateo, California, serving corporate groups, private parties, and community gatherings across the greater Bay Area. The studio bills itself as the Bay Area's go-to destination for unforgettable group experiences, offering step-by-step art sessions led by professional instructors where no prior experience is required. The studio hosts 15 or more hands-on event formats — from canvas painting and glass decoration to mosaic lamp crafting, tote bag painting, and terrarium building — and tailors each event to the group's preferences, including playlist, décor, and custom designs. An on-site wine bar offers beer, wine, champagne, and non-alcoholic beverages. Catering is available through partnerships with Rise Woodfire and Rise Pizzeria. Create Mix & Mingle accommodates a range of event sizes, with large-scale gatherings of 65 or more guests regularly hosted at the San Mateo studio. ABOUT MENLO CIRCUS CLUB A group of young girls met on an Atherton Estate around 1920 to ride their horses and play. These girls created a "club" and decided to put on a circus for the delight of their parents, friends, and neighbors, as young children do. The mother of one of the girls, Mrs. W. B. Weir, offered that the revenues of the circus be donated to the Stanford Convalescent Home (now known as Lucile Packard Children's Hospital). The first circus was hosted on the W. B. Weir property at Middlefield Road and Glenwood Avenue in the summer of 1920. Youngsters rode their own horses and ponies, while others brought along pet cats, goats, and dogs that they had trained to perform stunts. The Stanford Convalescent Home received $500 from the first circus. The circus flourished the following year. Adults turned the circus into a social gathering, attracting visitors from as far north as San Francisco and south as San Jose. The circus grew in size, as did the social event, in the third year, and it became clear to parents that the circus had overrun the two fields. Land was purchased in the fall of 1922 for the creation of the Menlo Circus Club, which was formed the following year. AVAILABLE EVENT SPACES The Menlo Circus Club, located in the heart of Atherton, provides welcoming and gracious accommodations for private events such as Weddings, Holiday Gatherings, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Class Reunions, Birthday Parties, and Cocktail Receptions. The large entrance immediately sets a classy tone that is appropriate for any occasion. For your event, the Clubhouse can accommodate up to 350 people. Ceremony-only weddings are permitted between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., with pricing beginning at $3,000 and varying depending on the season and location on the site. The Allied Arts Guild is pleased to announce the opening of The Conference Room at Allied Arts, a state-of-the-art conference room ideal for businesses and organizations on the Peninsula and in the surrounding Silicon Valley. The Conference Room at Allied Arts is located at Allied Arts in San Francisco. In addition to having plenty of natural sunlight, the area is extremely private, making it ideal for even the most confidential of executive meetings. A serene and historic setting, the Guild is situated on three-and-a-half acres of beautifully landscaped gardens.
