The Battle House Renaissance Mobile Hotel & Spa occupies a landmark address at 26 North Royal Street in the heart of historic downtown Mobile, Alabama. The site has hosted guests since 1852, when the original hotel opened under the Battle family. The current eight-story building dates to 1908 and was meticulously restored through a $132 million renovation before reopening in 2007. He fed them well, gave them hot baths and cozy chambers, and generally treated them with the type of personal attention that made them want to come back again and again. Sea Star Base Galveston is a nonprofit maritime and aquatics campus set on 10 acres along Offatt's Bayou and Galveston Bay, founded by Captain Charles and Rosemary Doolin as a sailing center that grew into a full waterfront complex. The LEED Platinum-certified, fully handicapped-accessible facility includes a fleet of 39 boats, a seagoing classroom, a swimming pool, and a modern marina, alongside its mission to deliver marine, maritime, and aquatics-based education for youth and adults. The campus doubles as an event venue for weddings, corporate gatherings, and community celebrations. The Peach Barn, which is located on a family farm and is run by a family, is the ideal location for a unique, quiet, and gorgeous wedding on Lake Garvey. With a stunning view of a 40-acre lake and pine forests, The Peach Barn offers over 5,700 square feet of event space in their barn for up to 400 wedding guests. Fans, a beautiful chandelier, a bar, and two floors of event space with a wrap-around balcony can be found in the all-wood barn. The ceilings are coated in salvaged tin and the walls are composed of ancient doors from a 1920s hotel, giving a rustic and relaxing ambiance. The barn also has 14-foot-wide barn doors, a large screened-in porch, and an upper deck with a view of Lake Garvey. Outdoor ceremonies can be held on a large lawn with gorgeous pines as a backdrop. Weddings and other social events can be held at the Peach Barn at TimberMill Acres. Beauvoir is a historic estate built in 1852 on 60 acres along the Gulf Coast in Biloxi, Mississippi. The property served as the final residence of Confederate President Jefferson Davis and operates today as a historic house museum. The main house features a distinctive raised cottage design with wraparound porches overlooking the Mississippi Sound. Private events take place across several distinct areas of the grounds: the front lawn, west and east fields, and a heritage rose garden planted with period-appropriate varieties. A large indoor space with a foyer and private entrance accommodates gatherings that call for a more sheltered setting. Outside catering is permitted, and docent-led house tours with period-costumed interpreters can be incorporated into any occasion. Pecan Springs Ranch is ideal for weddings and corporate parties; your guests will be gracious and welcoming throughout the event. The Austin wedding location has a creek, fresh springs, and a pond in addition to being surrounded by gorgeous pecan and oak trees. A prep kitchen, groom's area, and a glass rear wall that opens up onto a 2000 sf terrace are all included in our 6000 sf climate-controlled structure. We also provide several lovely ceremony locations in addition to a separate bride's home. At an Austin wedding venue, it is definitely necessary to use one of our many adverse weather options. We can easily hold 300 guests inside with a dance floor, and we have the capacity for more; just ask. The facility has the potential to be an extremely flexible venue. We purchased our magnificent 10-acre property in Scurry, Texas, in 2014 with the help of my husband Glen. It was a dream come true for us to be able to retire from the Big City, and we were thrilled with our new country living lifestyle. With years of experience in small business management as well as community service, we are well-suited to this position. After much deliberation, we have decided to pursue our dream of hosting weddings and events in our own home and backyard. We officially opened the doors to our lovely property, which is now known as The Hay Bale Wedding & Events Venue, in the summer of 2016. We are a small family-owned firm that enjoys making a difference in the lives of all of our customers. Your event will be held in our venue, which is decorated in the down-home country chic style you are looking for. The Castle in the Country $3,500 Up to 175 people can be accommodated for Saturday events. The Rustic Chandelier is $2,500 and is available Sunday through Thursday. It can accommodate up to 100 people. The Stagecoach is offering a $1,000 prize every Sunday through Thursday. It can accommodate up to 60 people. Beautifully appointed Bridal Suite with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the grounds and pool area. A private dressing area, vanity stations, and an en suite bathroom round off this luxurious space. Cypress Point Resort is a multi-venue event destination just outside Brandon, Mississippi, set on scenic wooded grounds alongside a lake. The resort accommodates celebrations ranging from quiet, intimate gatherings to large-scale receptions, with a collection of event spaces that seat as few as 16 and as many as 400 guests. The Chapel, nestled among towering trees and overlooking the lake, seats up to 120 and was built with salvaged pews from an authentic old church. The largest outdoor venue, Under The Oaks, welcomes up to 400 guests beneath a wisteria-covered arbor with an adjacent outdoor fireplace, with additional lawn space for tent dining. Smaller private venues include The Livery, which hosts up to 70 guests, and the Observation Deck, suited for up to 50. Afton Villa Gardens is a historic outdoor garden estate in St. Francisville, Louisiana, set on over 20 acres of formal gardens, manicured lawns, and ancient oak-lined grounds draped in Spanish moss. The property traces its origins to the mid-19th century, and its gardens — listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983 — have been meticulously restored and cultivated to reflect their original Southern grandeur. The gardens accommodate weddings and private events for up to 250 guests across the estate's outdoor grounds, including a formal parterre garden, ruins garden, daffodil valley, and sweeping terraces. Ceremony and reception locations are chosen from throughout the property, allowing couples and event hosts to take full advantage of the seasonal landscape — most notably the spectacular azalea displays that bloom along the estate's oak-canopied drive each spring. Southern Bridle Farms is a wedding and event venue set on a quiet country property near Perry, Georgia, accessible off Highway 96 just three miles from Interstate 75. Founded in 2012 by two families who set out to build the space they couldn't find elsewhere, the property was designed from the ground up to accommodate gatherings of virtually any size under one roof. The centerpiece of the farm is The Cedar Barn — a 10,000-square-foot structure built in the tradition of old Southern barn design using hand-selected cedar and pine logged and milled locally. Inside, 36-foot ceilings rise above 8x8 support beams, three grand chandeliers, and large sliding barn doors that open onto the surrounding grounds. The barn accommodates 500 or more guests for receptions and large celebrations. The outdoor grounds include a covered ceremony chapel with an arbor entrance, a stacked stone fireplace anchoring a cocktail area, and a Cyprus Bridal Cottage with a kitchenette, bathroom, sitting area, and vanity. A stone column entryway and tree-lined paved drive set the arrival tone for the property.

As a result of spending two years in France and working in the family business (a bed and breakfast set in the French countryside), we began to daydream of opening a comparable establishment in the United States. It is the long-term goal of Margot Hill to provide a taste of the French countryside to the people of East Texas. We are looking forward to extending and developing the land, as well as meeting and getting to know all of the lovely individuals we will meet along the way!
