  Miramont Castle is a Victorian-era historic castle and museum in Manitou Springs, Colorado, owned and operated by the Manitou Springs Historical Society. Built in the early 1890s by French-born priest Father Jean Baptiste Francolon, the castle blends nine architectural styles — including Romanesque, English Tudor, Flemish stepped gables, and Byzantine — across more than 14,000 square feet and 40 rooms. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1977, the castle stair-steps up the mountainside with exits on all four levels and features eight-sided rooms, a third-floor solarium, arched windows, and a grand staircase showcasing two distinct window styles side by side. Private events are hosted in three distinct spaces: the Solarium, with 18-foot ceilings and 12-foot windows overlooking Red Mountain; the Victorian Gardens, where colorful seasonal blooms set the scene for outdoor ceremonies; and the 100-foot-long Great Hall, suited for receptions of up to 70 guests. Ron and Kristin West purchased the property in 2004 and built it into a family-owned winery guided by an old-world winemaking philosophy — drawing from traditional European methods while applying scientific technique to achieve those characteristics in shorter timeframes. In 2010, two Varaison varietals competed at the Paris Wines and Spirits Expo at the U.S. Ambassador's residence, where both received recognition in blind tastings against French and American wines. The estate hosts private events across several distinct spaces. The Pavilion, a 2,500-square-foot covered structure with open-beam ceilings and views toward the Colorado mesas, seats up to 120 guests at round tables and can accommodate up to 300 with an added tent structure. It includes three ADA-compliant restrooms, a full catering kitchen, and on-site parking for up to 80 vehicles. The Victorian home's Formal Dining Room accommodates up to 20 guests for private wine dinners and meetings, while the Private Wine Cellar seats up to 8 for intimate tastings.
