Hunter and Christine Scheffler were inspired to develop the property when looking for a wedding destination for their own wedding. They desired a location that was close to the city yet far enough away to have a pastoral feel. With The Gardenia, which is only a 20-minute drive from Denton, Hunter and Christine combined the best of both worlds. The Gardenia Wedding & Event Venue has a courtyard, reception hall, and chapel that can accommodate 50 to 300 people.
