Built under the Shriners and later purchased by the City of Richmond in 1940, the theater underwent a major renovation in 1994-95 that restored its original architectural grandeur. Today the theater seats up to 3,600 guests for concerts, Broadway productions, and other live entertainment, and its private event spaces have hosted weddings, galas, trade shows, and corporate functions. The Grand Ballroom, decorated with the sweeping columns and ornamental detail original to the building, accommodates up to 800 guests seated or 1,400 standing. Monroe Park, an outdoor space overlooking the theater's facade, holds up to 600 guests seated or 1,000 standing, and multiple lobbies, lounges, and parlors throughout the building offer additional gathering space for smaller functions such as holiday parties, baby showers, and family reunions.

    River Farm occupies 25 acres of Potomac riverfront property in Alexandria, Virginia, once part of George Washington's farmland and now the headquarters of the American Horticultural Society. The grounds pair an 18th-century Manor House with formal gardens, a brick-pathed pergola walk, and open lawns running down to the river, giving couples a choice of indoor and outdoor settings for a ceremony or reception. The property offers several distinct spaces for events. The Garden Walk, with its trellis pergola and seasonal plantings, is the most popular ceremony location. The Ballroom, inside the Manor House, features a hardwood floor, a crystal chandelier, and local artwork, while the adjoining Parlor offers a smaller, more intimate room with a baby grand piano. A climate-controlled tent over the Slated Patio, with adjustable Palladian window walls, extends the property's capacity for larger receptions.     Housed in a converted 1891 tobacco exchange and inspection warehouse in Danville, Virginia's historic River District, Cottontail Weddings preserves original architectural details — exposed brick, heavy timber supports, and original hardwood floors — while adding modern crystal chandeliers and color up-lighting for contemporary celebrations. The building operated under several owners, including the Liggett and Myers Company from 1930 to 1970, before its renovation into an event venue; Cottontail has hosted weddings and celebrations there since 2017. The venue's 3,600-square-foot Main Ballroom seats up to 175 guests, with a preferred range of 100 to 150 for comfort and flexibility, and can host both ceremony and reception in the same room. Rental includes linens, tables and chairs, LED lighting, a catering prep kitchen, and bridal and groom preparation suites, and couples can walk guests next door to Ballad Brewing for a cocktail-hour tasting-room experience. Cottontail hosts only one event per day, giving each celebration its full attention.
