Visiting in the year 2021 During daylight hours, the farm is open to tourists every day of the week. Please keep in mind that we are a functioning farm with a production focus, and our employees may be out in the field. We'd be pleased to put you in the right way, but we don't have anyone on staff who can give you a tour. Take a self-guided tour and have a picnic at one of the tables near the pavilion, or wherever you choose to spread a blanket. Dogs that are well-behaved and on a leash are welcome. Please eliminate any rubbish and debris. Visitors are not permitted to select their own flowers. When strolling through cultivated regions, please be cautious. Between April and October/November, the roadside farm stand is filled with grab-and-go flowers Wednesday through Sunday, and the greenhouse has plants for sale. If you manage to catch us in the middle of market prep on Friday or Saturday afternoons, we'd be delighted to create a bespoke arrangement for you! Knight's Gambit Vineyard sits on a rolling hillside in the Monticello AVA, facing the Blue Ridge Mountains a short drive from Charlottesville, Virginia. Three generations of the Summers family have been raised on the farm, which has grown grapes since 2003 and opened its Tasting Room in 2016; the estate now produces Meritage, Petit Verdot, Pinot Grigio, Cabernet Franc, Rosé, and Chardonnay under the Knight's Gambit label. Barboursville Vineyards is a 900-acre estate in the Southwest Mountains north of Charlottesville, framed by the Blue Ridge. The home's Federal-period interiors and furnishings interpret the era of roughly 1805–1819, and exhibits throughout the house explore plantation life, the roles of the household's free and enslaved members, and the property's later history through Prohibition and World War II. The house's cellar and its landscaped grounds are available for private events, from intimate dinners and corporate retreats to weddings and receptions. Wolf Trap Farm is a 600-acre working farm in Gordonsville, Virginia, in the foothills of the Southwest Mountains near Charlottesville. Portions of the property trace back to James Madison, who once owned the land and named it Black Meadow; the Cuthrell family purchased the farm in 2003, restored the Manor House, Pond House, and barns, and opened it to guests in 2004. The farm's two barn pavilions host wedding receptions with a rustic, indoor-outdoor feel. The Cox Mill Pavilion, converted from a former equipment and hay barn in 2014, overlooks the horse paddocks, while the Black Meadow Pavilion, added in 2018, sits atop a ridge with views of the Southwest Mountains. CrossKeys Vineyards is a family-owned estate winery on 125 acres in Mt. Crawford, Virginia's Shenandoah Valley, about 15 minutes from Harrisonburg. Its Tuscan-style villa looks out over the estate's own vineyards toward Massanutten Mountain and the Blue Ridge, on land the Bakhtiar family first planted in 2001; the tasting room opened in 2008 pouring 100% estate-grown Virginia wine. Historic Jasmine is a wedding and event venue set on a historic property in Providence Forge, Virginia, in New Kent County. The property was originally patented by surveyor and Virginia House of Burgesses member George Morris in 1680, and the current manor house dates to 1750. On October 8, 1781, the house served as a headquarters for General Washington's Revolutionary Army before troops proceeded to Yorktown for the war's decisive final engagement. The Morris family held the land until 1850, and Henry and Matte Brenneman acquired the property in 1918; a mural Matte painted in the front stairwell still adorns the residence today. The Smith family purchased the property in 2005 as a bed and breakfast, hosted their first wedding that October on the Manor House's front porch, and went on to develop the property into a full-time event venue. Historic Jasmine now hosts up to 200 guests across its garden and woodland settings, including the Chapel in the Woods, the Garden Pergola, and a 40-by-60-foot reception tent with an attached pavilion, string lighting, and crystal chandeliers. Long Branch Historic House and Farm is a circa-1811 manor house set on 400 acres of Virginia countryside in Boyce, at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Clarke County — about an hour and a half from Washington, D.C. and fifteen minutes from Berryville and Winchester. The nonprofit property doubles as a working horse retirement farm, and its gardens, lawns, and historic rooms are used for weddings, private parties, and community gatherings throughout the year. For ceremonies, couples can choose between the Sheila Macqueen Garden, which accommodates around 125 guests, or the more intimate Rose Garden, which holds about 25. Indoors, the mansion's East Gallery seats up to 75 for a smaller wedding or reception, with a 40-by-100-foot tent pad available on the grounds for larger seated events. A Bridal Suite with its own dressing room and bathroom, along with a Groom's "Tack Room," give wedding parties dedicated space to prepare before the ceremony. The mountains of Shenandoah National Park are our neighbors, and we are also fortunate enough to have the Shenandoah River bordering our property. Several attractions outside of the National Park are available in Page County, which is also known as the "cabin capital of Virginia," so finding lodging is rarely a problem. [Please see our vendor page for more information.] We are a new venue that is currently undergoing renovations in order to make the barn as accommodating as possible for all of our guests. A bridal suite and storage space will be added to the main level of the barn. Restrooms, a kitchenette, and a bridal suite storage area will also be added to this level. River Road is a family-owned farm that has been in the Painter family for several generations. When Cody and Jessica announced their engagement, they knew they wanted to include their family farm in their wedding celebrations. It had taken several long weeks of renovations, but they were finally able to enjoy having their family and friends come together for the event. A perfect September day provided the setting for their ceremony along the south fork of the Shenandoah River, followed by a reception in the big red barn at the venue. After that day, it was clear that this beautiful property should be enjoyed by more people than just the family who had purchased it. Housed in a converted 1891 tobacco exchange and inspection warehouse in Danville, Virginia's historic River District, Cottontail Weddings preserves original architectural details — exposed brick, heavy timber supports, and original hardwood floors — while adding modern crystal chandeliers and color up-lighting for contemporary celebrations. The building operated under several owners, including the Liggett and Myers Company from 1930 to 1970, before its renovation into an event venue; Cottontail has hosted weddings and celebrations there since 2017. The venue's 3,600-square-foot Main Ballroom seats up to 175 guests, with a preferred range of 100 to 150 for comfort and flexibility, and can host both ceremony and reception in the same room. Rental includes linens, tables and chairs, LED lighting, a catering prep kitchen, and bridal and groom preparation suites, and couples can walk guests next door to Ballad Brewing for a cocktail-hour tasting-room experience. Cottontail hosts only one event per day, giving each celebration its full attention.

Opened in 2013, the venue has hosted more than 2,000 events, blending its classic architecture with state-of-the-art sound, lighting, and projection systems. Best known as a stage for live music and comedy — with past performers ranging from Keller Williams to Grammy-winning acts — Bright Box also opens its rooms for private celebrations, from wedding receptions to business meetings.
