Their goals were to launch a new movement, promote unplugging from technology, reconnect people with nature, and develop a one-of-a-kind gathering spot for families to spend quality time together. ​ To this day, the Mladick family has cleared more than two hundred and fifty tons of trash, planted more than two hundred and fifty native trees, and installed barriers to prevent trespassers and poachers from despoiling the breathtaking land. Today, restoration efforts are still ongoing all around the property, but their work to reestablish the environment has already been successful. Visitors to the property may see a variety of animals, and at any given time, more than 100 species of birds make Hidden Lake their home.
