  • The Fox Theater

1001 W Sprague Ave, Spokane, WA 99201, USA
    • Spaces for 250-500 Guests
    • 1 Theater
    • 1 Historic Space

Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox opened in downtown Spokane on September 3, 1931, built by Fox West Coast Theaters as a 2,300-seat movie palace. Architect Robert Reamer, known for designing Yellowstone's Old Faithful Inn, gave the building its exuberant Art Deco style, and Hollywood designer Anthony Heinsbergen created the murals that still cover the lobby, mezzanine, and lounges. A full renovation reopened the Theater in November 2007, reconfiguring the building to add dressing rooms, an expanded lobby, and ADA upgrades, and reducing the house to roughly 1,600 seats as a mid-sized performing arts venue. The Theater is owned and operated by the nonprofit Spokane Symphony and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Spokane Register, and the Washington Heritage Register. Beyond its resident symphony and touring performances, the Theater hosts private events on its historic stage and in its surrounding lounges, accommodating up to 250 guests for a seated meal or 500 for a strolling reception. Weddings held there can include a hosted bar, dressing room suites for the wedding party, and a personalized message on the Theater's outside marquee.

Walking up to the Marysville Opera House, guests find a two-story historic building on Third Street, with a private garden courtyard out front that gives the venue an outdoor space of its own. Inside, the building keeps its original character: a chandelier-lit ballroom beneath a classical tin pressed ceiling, with a vintage balcony overlooking the main floor. The ballroom, mezzanine, and balcony together hold up to 240 guests, with roughly 100 to 150 seated comfortably across the two levels, or as many as 200 in theater-style seating without tables. A stage with its own dressing room supports the live music, tribute shows, and community performances that fill the Opera House calendar, while a separate get-ready cottage gives wedding parties a private space to prepare before the ceremony. Renters bring their own caterer, DJ, and photographer, drawing on the venue's caterer kitchen, bar service area, and concession stand as needed. Extra services such as house A/V, effect and colored theater lighting, a podium, linens, and table-and-chair setup can be added, and the main floor is ADA accessible with easy access off I-5.
