Darrington Community Center
570 Sauk Ave, Darrington, WA 98241, USA- Spaces for 250 Guests
Darrington Community Center has served as the gathering place for this remote Washington town since 1954, when it was built with donated time, skill, and materials from residents of the Darrington area. Owned by the Town of Darrington and managed by a volunteer Board of Trustees, the center houses a gymnasium, a meeting room, and a full kitchen, and hosts weddings, bridal and baby showers, family reunions, potlucks, tribal meetings, and memorial gatherings alongside the community's regular sporting events. Generations of volunteers have kept the building in service, from new gym flooring and updated electrical and HVAC systems to a modern projection system. In 2017, the Board restored the center's exterior to its original color using footage from the 1980 film "High Ice," which had documented the building's early appearance. The center also serves as a designated Red Cross emergency shelter for the surrounding community.

Port of Allyn
18560 WA-3, Allyn, WA 98524, USA- Spaces for 500 Guests
Port of Allyn has anchored this stretch of Hood Canal since 1921, when residents voted to build a dock and give their small North Mason community a proper waterfront gathering place. The port district that grew from that vote now covers most of North Mason, including Allyn and Belfair, with the town of Victor joining in 1973. At the center of it all is Allyn Waterfront Park, a recreational green space that's open to the public, with views of the water free to take in any day of the week. For weddings and private events, the park's gazebo is the centerpiece: 204 feet around with a dance floor built into the middle, a 17-foot ceiling at its peak, and eleven round tables with benches inside. There's no cap on guest count, and hosts are free to choose their own caterer and entertainment. A downstairs room with a sink, counter, and refrigerator gives the wedding party a place to get ready, and rental includes keys to the restrooms, power for the gazebo, and dumpster access, so there's nowhere offsite to haul the garbage. Nearby, North Shore Dock adds nightly and winter moorage with electrical hookups on Hood Canal, and Allyn Kayak Park offers a sandy beach and water access for guests who want to explore the shoreline before or after the celebration.

- 1 Landmark
- 1 Theater
- 1 Historic Space
The Historic Everett Theatre is a fully restored landmark on Colby Avenue in downtown Everett, Washington, that opened in 1901 as the Everett Opera House. Now more than a century old, it is the sole survivor of the eight theaters that once competed for audiences in the city, and its stage has hosted some of the biggest names in early twentieth-century entertainment, from Helen Keller and John Philip Sousa to John Barrymore and Al Jolson. Seating 800, the theatre produces and presents a full calendar of concerts, comedy shows, live music from nationally and internationally known artists, silent film screenings accompanied by pipe organ, and community events. Beyond its own programming, the venue is available for rentals; bookings include a house manager and ushers along with access to the greenroom and dressing rooms, digital house sound, stage lighting, and video projection. A working home for more than 300 community volunteers, the Historic Everett Theatre remains a central gathering place for performances and private events in downtown Everett.
