Flag Hill Distillery & Winery is a family-owned, 110-acre agricultural estate in Lee, New Hampshire, recognized as the state's oldest winery, largest vineyard, and oldest distillery. Grape growing began on the property in 1987, winery operations followed in 1990, and in 2004 the estate opened a distillery — the first legal distillery in New Hampshire since Prohibition. The acreage is permanently preserved under a conservation easement, and the property's own gardens and crops supply ingredients for the on-site kitchen throughout the year. Potowomut Golf Club has been a fixture of Rhode Island golf since 1927, when a group of golfers built a private course on rolling terrain near Narragansett Bay, in the Potowomut section of Warwick. The 18-hole, par-71 course was designed by Walter Johnson, a disciple of architect Donald Ross, and has been carefully restored over the decades while staying true to its founding character: small, fast greens and a walking tradition that rewards strategy over length. While membership defines daily play at Potowomut, the club opens its course and clubhouse to non-members for weddings, corporate golf outings, and private celebrations. Golf outings get full course access with shotgun starts or tee times, practice facilities, and professional starter and ranger support, while receptions and dinners move into the clubhouse private dining room and patio, which overlooks the 18th green. The Isles of Shoals Steamship Company operates private charters aboard the M/V Thomas Laighton, a 90-foot Victorian steamship replica berthed in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The grounds reflect the same Victorian ambition as the house itself. A boxwood parterre garden, designed in the 1850s, contains 21 flowerbeds with more than 4,000 annuals.
