Aptos Village Park is a 10.3-acre County of Santa Cruz park tucked between the Santa Cruz beaches and the Aptos hills, about 15 minutes south of downtown Santa Cruz. At the heart of the park stands the Hellman-Ehrman Mansion — known as Pine Lodge — a 12,000-square-foot Queen Anne-style estate built in 1903 as a summer retreat for San Francisco businessman I.W. Hellman, designed by architect Walter Danforth Bliss. California acquired the property in 1965, and the mansion now serves as a museum and the backdrop for private events.
