Ideal Glass Studios is an artist-run film & TV production studio, founded in 2004 by native New Yorker, actor, and artist, Willard Morgan. The story of Bearsville is the story of Albert Grossman, a music entrepreneur and manager of musicians. High in the Catskill Mountains surrounded by forests and streams, Albert established a creative and nurturing community in which his artists could live and work. He built cabins, a record label, and created the Bearsville Studios. Bob Dylan moved to Woodstock to take advantage of his vision, and artists like Janis Joplin, Allen Ginsberg, Johnny Cash, George and Pattie Harrison followed his lead. Albert then planned an acoustically perfect Bearsville Theatre, where he could showcase his artists.
