About the Client Jeff was born and raised right here in Charleston. He decided to make the move to Awendaw when he found a dream piece of property that came on the market back in 2018. Jeff spent 10 long months working to get the place the way he always pictured it could be. Since moving in late 2019, him and his 2 dogs (Gamble & Gus) have loved every minute of it! Everyone that steps foot onto the property, can picture the property as a great location for your special day, for those who love the lowcountry scenery and a good river breeze. Even Jim and his fiance, Jill, plan to do just that in 2022! The property being 8 acres and a 2500 square ft wrap around porch, it makes for the ultimate sunset location over the Wando River. For those who truly love the outdoors as much as Jeff and his dogs do, we know you’ll enjoy your day here at The Huntington! Story of the Logo Jeff has such a love for his two dogs, Gamble & Gus. Gamble is an older yellow lab and Gus is a young German Shepard. As much as he takes pride in his property, he loves to show off his dogs! The expansive, open floor plan is highlighted by towering, large windows, vaulted ceilings with exposed rafters, and two big fireplaces, among other features. Leon's Fine Poultry & Oyster Shop is a welcoming Southern eatery that serves fried chicken, oysters, a variety of salads, cheap beer, soft serve, Rose on tap, a large selection of grower Champagne, and excellent cocktails. The restaurant is located in an ancient body shop that had belonged to Leon Ravenel, a long-time Charleston industrialist. Much of that industrial heritage is preserved in the room, which includes working garage doors, concrete flooring, and some souvenirs from Leon himself. We wanted a cozy, lived-in, familiar oyster bar when we opened the restaurant, so we drew inspiration from some of the places we'd visited around the South. After a lunch at a popular New Orleans soul food joint, we decided to add fried chicken to the menu, which has since become a LEON'S standard. Southern Charm Events is an elegant modern venue located in Rock Hill, South Carolina minutes from Charlotte, North Carolina. There is a beautiful outdoor pavilion with ceiling fans and a fireplace to host wedding ceremonies without worrying about the weather. The venue inside offers a bridal and grooms suite with private entrances. For the caterers, the venue has a prep kitchen with an ice machine, warming oven and commercial refrigerator. There is a bar with all the amenities needed for the bartender. Inside the venue are 7 gorgeous chandeliers and a modern fireplace.
