The Log Cabin is a one-of-a-kind wedding venue in the Presidio National Park. Even though you are only a few minutes from the city, you will feel as if you have been transported back in time to when troops caroused merrily at this guarded military settlement. Even if the army is no longer present, the good times continue. The neighboring Fort Scott Barracks is one of the first instances of the Mission Revival architectural style, and it makes for an excellent photo opportunity. The historic parade ground, with its large lawn and native vegetation, is well worth visiting. The Fort Scott area is 30 acres in size. - Matchless Rustic Building - A Rare Gem - Peekaboo Golden Gate Bridge and City Skyline Views - Large Ceremony and Cocktail Lawn - Distinctive Building with Spanish Red Tile Roof, Fieldstone Foundations, and Exposed Wood Interior - Beautiful Fireplace Bathes the Room In Warm Firelight - Central Capacious Dance floor - Ballroom supported by Whole-Tree Beams and Matched with Wagon Wheel Chandeliers The Log Cabin, which was built in 1937, has been exposed to San Francisco's legendary weather for nearly a century. The Presidio Trust carpenters and conservators take great care of it. The interior and exterior timbers are Monterey Cypress from the area, which was first planted by the US Army centuries ago. This is the Presidio's lone building of its kind, and the style is becoming increasingly rare across the country. The natural lawn of the Log Cabin, with views of the iconic Golden Gate Bridge and the San Francisco Financial District skyline, is a must-see. The 1,500-acre Presidio Park features a 300-acre historic forest, rare and endangered plants and wildlife, and broad open space with stunning views. It also has 469 historic structures, which contribute to its National Historic Landmark District designation... The historic Log Cabin is easily accessible from the counties of Alameda, San Joaquin, and Solano. Couples from Antioch, Discovery Bay, Concord, Walnut Creek, Pleasanton, San Jose, San Francisco, Stockton, Lodi, Modesto, Tracy, Berkeley, Rio Vista, Fairfield, Vallejo, Manteca, Richmond, Livermore, and farther afield flock to this spectacular site. Couples may enjoy a stress-free planning experience while also staging a big event that impresses their guests by choosing this unique, rustic wedding venue. 16th Street Station

    San Francisco, CA, USA
    • 1 Bat Mitzvah Album

West Oakland, California's 16th Street Station is a historic landmark that dates back to the late nineteenth century. At this time, we are not renting the interior space of the building, and we are only renting the area immediately surrounding the building. As a backdrop, the site boasts a magnificent Main Hall that is truly breath-taking. The 16th Street Station will no longer be taking any rental commitments for events that will take place within the Station. Rental of outside areas is still available. Please inquire. The 16th Street Station, which opened on August 1, 1912, marked the beginning of West Oakland as the city's gateway. The Station, which was constructed for $300,000 by the Southern Pacific Railway and designed by Chicago architect Jarvis Hunt, was built by the railroad for $300,000. That same year, the Station was featured in Western Architect magazine. The Station served as the western terminus of the transcontinental railway system, and was the last stop on the Western line. Even as recently as the 1950s, Southern Pacific was one of Oakland's most significant private sector employers. By the 1960s, the railroad company had realized that their primary source of revenue was freight transportation rather than passenger travel. However, in the early years, the usage was quite different from what it is today.

Our facility can accommodate a wide range of private events such as weddings, business events, birthday and bridal showers, bar/bat mitzvahs, conferences, and more. To avoid having to wash dishes at night for her large family or having to eat hamburger helper (her brother's favorite dish to cook), Linda traded dish duties with her siblings for cooking duties, and developed an intense passion for planning menus, creating recipes, and putting on dinners and events for her family of 15 children. Linda is the mother of 15 children. In her adolescence, she could frequently be found in bookshops reading cookbooks, and she had a cherished memory of reading "The French Laundry Cookbook" for the first time from cover to cover when it was originally published. She made the decision to attend a cooking school shortly after, having no idea that it would turn out to be a career choice. Having been born and reared in Argentina to an American father and a French mother, she comes from a diverse background of cultures and experiences, which contributes to the diverse range of flavors she enjoys putting into her dishes. She moved to the Bay Area when she was 17 years old in order to attend culinary school in San Francisco. After stays in New York and Kansas City, she returned to the Bay Area and began performing at some of the city's most prestigious restaurants, including Masa's, Campton Place, The French Laundry, and Michael Mina's, among others.

This venue is only available with a Log Cabin or Golden Gate Club reservation. The Presidio Chapel boasts a number of distinctive elements that draw history and art enthusiasts from all over the world. St Francis of Assisi (the namesake of San Francisco) is depicted alongside many historical personalities who helped develop the present stronghold on this site in Victor Arnautoff's famed fresco, which was produced in 1935. The fresco was painted before the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, and you can see the Army Corps of Engineers debating the ideas on the right side of the wall. Willemina Ogterop (1881-1974), the first woman stained-glass artist west of the Mississippi to be inducted into the Stained Glass Artists Guild, designed the remarkable stained-glass windows. Ogterop was a multiculturalist who was involved in a number of peace and humanitarian groups and believed that everyone should practice compassion, which is a philosophy that many SF couples adhere to. A visit to the Presidio Chapel is a necessity because of these little-known artistic gems. If you are getting married or arranging an event, you will want to take a tour of this lovely specimen of Spanish Revival architecture and learn about its secrets! The Presidio event venues tours last about an hour, and you will get a behind-the-scenes look at many of the famed fortress sites.
