The Parlour on Lorraine is an exclusive and intimate micro-event venue located in Gulfport, Mississippi, set to open in June 2023. Our founders, Kristie McCready and Chandra Woodward, with over 15 years of customer service experience, aim to provide personalized and seamless experiences for every client. The Parlour is an eclectic space that works closely with local vendors to create a unique and unforgettable experience for you and your guests.

The stately home, originally built in 1820, is beautifully maintained and ideal for photos, getting ready, and much more. Oak Hill Estate hosts both a historic home and a banquet space on its premises. The house is approximately 2,600 square feet while the banquet space is about 6,700 square feet. The exterior of the estate is meticulously cared for, showcasing green lawns and landscaped gardens. Inside, neutral white walls welcome any wedding theme and charming chandeliers light up parlor rooms. Couples will have separate get-ready spaces, each with their own aesthetic. The kitchen comes fully equipped with cooking facilities and, from the house, an artistic wall of refurbished doors leads to the event area. Ceremonies can take place indoors or out, and the same goes for receptions. Couples holding their wedding celebration at Oak Hill Estate will have the opportunity to rent various useful additions from the venue’s collection. These may include chairs, tables, chandeliers, centerpieces, bistro tables, and many other items. Two set packages are available. Each of these offers two-day rental blocks as well as seating provisions. In addition to weddings, this venue is pleased to host social gatherings, parties, reunions, retreats, and more. Gulf Hills Hotel + Resort is Ocean Springs's only waterfront hotel, established in 1927 by the Branigar Brothers as a destination resort along Fort Bayou. At its peak, the 700-acre property featured 66 guest rooms, an 18-hole golf course, waterfront villas, and a marina, and later became Mississippi's first working dude ranch. The hotel's seclusion drew notable guests, including Elvis Presley, who returned regularly to the privacy of the bayou-side property. Following hurricane and fire damage in the 1970s, Gulf Hills was revitalized under new ownership, with comprehensive renovations completed in 2023. The resort hosts weddings, corporate gatherings, reunions, and private celebrations across a range of indoor and outdoor settings. The Jackson Zoo has called Livingston Park home since 1921, occupying 110 acres in Jackson, Mississippi. Originally established in 1919, the zoo has grown into an AZA-accredited zoological park housing more than 70 species and 160 animals, including 11 endangered species. Its exhibits span the African Rainforest, African Savannah, Asian Garden, and Wilderness Mississippi across more than 34 active parkland acres, and the Gertrude C. Ford Education Center anchors additional programming space on the grounds. The zoo participates in 20 Species Survival Programs and draws approximately 85,000 visitors annually — over 90 percent of them families with children. Rising Event Venues is an event complex at 824 S. State Street in downtown Jackson, Mississippi, offering two distinct spaces for weddings, private celebrations, and corporate events. The District accommodates up to 800 guests in a modern interior with sleek, clean lines and large windows that fill the space with natural light. The South holds up to 1,200 guests in a setting defined by exposed brick walls and steel beams, lending the space a rustic industrial character well suited to receptions and large-scale gatherings. Both spaces include round and rectangular tables, folding chairs, and audio-visual equipment. An on-site event manager supports each event throughout, and outside catering is welcome from the client's preferred providers.

The Regency Hotel & Conference Center sits adjacent to the Coliseum in the heart of Jackson, Mississippi, where Southern Hospitality shapes every gathering. With more than 20,000 square feet of function space spread across up to 12 meeting rooms, the conference center accommodates events ranging from intimate seminars to large conventions and social gatherings for more than 2,300 guests combined. The Empire Ballroom anchors the venue's event offerings, complemented by the Regency Lounge and a range of additional flexible meeting spaces. The Powerhouse Community Arts Center is a historic venue in Oxford, Mississippi, housed in a 1928 brick building originally constructed as the city's electric plant. Designed by architect Frank P. Gates and built by the W.R. Ellis Company, the structure powered Oxford until 1952, when the Tennessee Valley Authority took over service. The building was repurposed in 2008 as the Powerhouse Community Arts Center and is now home to the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council. The venue offers two event spaces — the Gallery and the Theatre — each measuring 40 by 70 feet with 24-foot ceilings and exposed vintage brick walls. Together, the rooms accommodate up to 800 guests for standing receptions and 400 for seated dinners. The Theatre includes a stage and a dance floor. Both spaces can be reserved independently or in combination, making the venue a flexible choice for weddings, rehearsal dinners, galas, private parties, and performing arts events. Desert Plantation Bed and Breakfast sits on 90 acres of rolling Tunica Hills, about a mile inside the Mississippi state line from St. Francisville, Louisiana. Built in 1808 and completed in 1812 by Colonel Robert Semple and his wife Isabelle Turnbull, the antebellum estate has been in continuous private stewardship under the Merwin family since 1900. The outdoor grounds are the heart of the event experience: ancient live oak trees draped with Spanish moss frame a ceremony walkway beside a pond, where candlelit bridal paths and a handcrafted altar set the stage for celebrations of up to 200 guests. For inclement weather or smaller gatherings, the historic manor itself accommodates up to 50 guests in its central hall — anchored by a distinctive archway used as an indoor altar — and on its expansive front porch overlooking the grounds. The Henry Smith House is a historic estate on 2.5 acres in Picayune, Mississippi, about 45 minutes from New Orleans. The property centers on two restored structures: the Victorian House, built in 1909 by Henry Emmitt Smith using heart pine lumber and cypress shingles milled on-site, and a Log Cabin dating to circa 1874. After decades of family stewardship — Henry Smith himself accumulated over 1,000 acres before passing parcels to his nine children — the estate was purchased in 2000 and restored over two decades before launching as a wedding and events venue. Ceremonies take place at five locations on the grounds, including a custom chapel accommodating up to 30 guests with stained-glass windows salvaged from a New Orleans church, and the open-air Garden Lawn for larger outdoor ceremonies. The 4,800-square-foot covered Courtyard Pavilion serves receptions for up to 250 guests, with a wood-burning fireplace and patio heaters available.
