Housed in a historic freight train depot from the 1930s, the Centennial Station Arts Center brings a rustic-yet-elegant character to weddings, corporate luncheons, and celebrations in downtown High Point, North Carolina. Operated by the High Point Arts Council, the depot has been adapted into a flexible event hall that accommodates up to 250 guests with adjustable table arrangements. The space is built for gatherings that mix dining and entertainment: a 32-foot-square dance floor anchors the room, and a stage with two backstage dressing rooms, a sound system, and adjustable lighting supports everything from receptions to the venue's dinner theatre productions. A full bar and an on-site catering prep kitchen round out the offerings, and clients may bring in their own approved caterer, florist, photographer, planner, and entertainment. Castle McCulloch is a castle event venue in Jamestown, North Carolina, hosting weddings and receptions, corporate gatherings, and social celebrations. A decade-long restoration, completed in 2017, preserved the building's most striking feature: a central hall whose 30-foot reclaimed heartpine ceilings rise, column-free, to a cathedral-like scale. The venue spans more than 13,000 square feet across several distinct spaces. The Garage anchors ceremonies and receptions beneath skylights and handmade chandeliers, while the Classic Showroom—with its original black-and-white marble floor, custom bar, and fireplace—suits cocktail hours and smaller gatherings. The McAlister House, built in 1915, exemplifies the architectural shift from Queen Anne to Colonial Revival design. The Leftwich House, constructed in 1875, is a Gothic Revival residence — one of only three remaining examples of that style in Greensboro — and holds National Landmark status. In 1969, the club merged with Carlson Farm Country Club, and the Farm campus has since developed into a full-service destination in its own right. The Farm Clubhouse — rebuilt in 1975 after a fire and redesigned in 2001 and again in 2017 — provides a polished setting for private events and celebrations. The Carlson Farm campus features an 18-hole golf course redesigned by world-renowned architect Donald Steel, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, a swimming pool, and dedicated dining and event spaces. The clubhouse holds two separate dining areas, a bar, and a veranda overlooking the lake, along with formal banquet and meeting rooms and a more casual grill room. Three event spaces — the Warrior Room, the Lake Room, and the Asheboro Room — accommodate gatherings of up to 150 seated guests, and the staff hosts weddings, receptions, rehearsal dinners, corporate luncheons and meetings, and birthday and pool parties.
