Spring Hollow Golf Club is a public 18-hole championship golf course in Spring City, Pennsylvania, set in the rolling hills of northern Chester County. Designed by architect John Thompson, the par-70, 6,008-yard course was built on the site of a former dairy farm, with a 110-foot change in elevation and wetlands, creeks, and ponds coming into play on six holes. The course's natural meadows were left in place to preserve the look and feel of the original landscape. Beyond the course, Spring Hollow hosts weddings and private events, including anniversaries, showers, rehearsal dinners, corporate gatherings, and celebrations of life. Couples can hold an outdoor ceremony on the property before moving into an indoor reception featuring gold chiavari chairs and floor-length linens, with a private wedding suite available for getting ready beforehand. Bailey House and its surrounding grounds, which can accommodate up to 75 guests for wedding ceremonies, wedding receptions, and private events, has been transformed into a stunning venue. Kelli Connell's twenty-year study with one model is an introspective examination of sexuality and gender roles in intimate relationships that form self-identity. The project investigates identity polarities such as the masculine and feminine psyche, the irrational and rational self, the outward and interior self, and the motivated and resigned self. Body language and clothes define the dualities of the person by mixing several photographic negatives of the same model in each image. The significance of these photos rests in their portrayal of internal conflicts as an outward object: a photograph. The spectator is presented with "constructed realities" through these pictures. Rentals and Photoshoots Holding your event at the Alice Austen House gardens is an opportunity to participate in New York City history. With magnificent views of lower Manhattan and Brooklyn, the historic venue offers outdoor leases for wedding ceremonies and shooting opportunities. Pump House Weddings and B&B occupies an 85-acre property along Catawissa Creek in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, built around 1878 as a pumping station for the world's first long-distance underground oil pipeline. Owner Doug spent more than two decades restoring the original foremen's houses and industrial brick buildings, and the property is one of the few in the country where both the foremen's homes and the large brick pump buildings still remain; the restoration was featured on This Old House in 2004. Two reception spaces occupy the historic buildings. The Brick Building, once home to the steam pumps that pressurized the pipeline, offers soaring ceilings and warehouse-style windows with a dance floor, and seats up to 170 guests for dinners and celebrations. The Studio, filled with handmade stained glass and paintings by Doug, is a more intimate space for rehearsal dinners, brunches, or receptions of up to 50. Outdoor ceremonies take place across the wooded grounds, including a "chapel in the woods," forest glades, and creek-side sites along the Catawissa.
