Clinch River Farms is a 70-acre agritourism property in Tazewell County, Virginia, established in 2002 by the Hudson family. Set along nearly a mile of the Clinch River in the Appalachian foothills, the farm combines Airbnb farm stays, picnic shelters, an outdoor chapel, and a 5K network of trails with weddings, church gatherings, birthday celebrations, and kids' summer camps. Wolf Trap Farm is a 600-acre working farm in Gordonsville, Virginia, in the foothills of the Southwest Mountains near Charlottesville. Portions of the property trace back to James Madison, who once owned the land and named it Black Meadow; the Cuthrell family purchased the farm in 2003, restored the Manor House, Pond House, and barns, and opened it to guests in 2004. The farm's two barn pavilions host wedding receptions with a rustic, indoor-outdoor feel. The Cox Mill Pavilion, converted from a former equipment and hay barn in 2014, overlooks the horse paddocks, while the Black Meadow Pavilion, added in 2018, sits atop a ridge with views of the Southwest Mountains. Both feature oak plank walls, farm tables, a dance floor, and a caterer's warming kitchen, and each pairs with its own ceremony site. In 2023, the farm added the Love Pond site, a tented reception space on a hill above its lower pond, with a ceremony area at the water's edge. Named after Major John Billingsley, the original 1662 land grant owner, the brick structure stands as one of Prince George's County's earliest historic treasures, offering views of the Patuxent River from its elevated grounds.
