The Inn at Irwin Gardens occupies a meticulously preserved historic estate in Columbus, Indiana, where a Victorian home built in 1864 was transformed through a 1910 Edwardian redesign into one of the region's most distinctive event properties. The interior retains its original light fixtures, furniture, and bathroom fixtures alongside imported English oak, Italian marble fireplaces, and seven stained glass motifs representing the days of the week. The Italianate gardens — designed between 1910 and 1913 and inspired by Pompeian excavations — provide a rare outdoor setting for celebrations. Wisteria pergolas, turtle pond fountains, sculpted marble busts of Greek philosophers, a bronze elephant from the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair, and a medieval Italian wishing well create a landscape unlike any other in the Midwest. The inn offers three event configurations: the First Floor, with its antique-furnished historic rooms and garden access for up to 75 guests; the Terrace, an open-air garden setting for up to 150 guests standing or 60 seated; and the Full Garden, which accommodates up to 200 guests across multiple lawn areas and flexible stations. Weddings are limited to 15 per year, ensuring attentive coordination for every event.

Opened in 2006 as the first structure on the newly revitalized Oklahoma River, the Chesapeake Boathouse anchors Oklahoma City's Boathouse District. Designed by architect Rand Elliott and funded primarily by Chesapeake Energy Corporation, the building's translucent polycarbonate walls give it the profile of a sleek rowing shell, creating a dramatic glow above the river after dark. A reflecting pool marks the entrance, lit by sixteen columns of light representing oars. Inside, an event room looks out through a 62-foot window onto the boathouse's boat bays, which hold up to 124 rowing shells, while a separate panoramic 24-foot glass wall frames views of the deck, river, and reflecting pool. The building is designated an Oklahoma Centennial Project and remains the community boathouse for the district. As part of the Boathouse District, the Chesapeake Boathouse sits alongside the other iconic boathouses along the Oklahoma River, with the district's private events team coordinating gatherings that range from intimate cocktail parties to larger celebrations against the backdrop of downtown Oklahoma City.

In addition to being stunningly beautiful and modern, it is also daring in its own right. First and foremost, fusion cuisine blends seamlessly with the most recent gastronomic trends, and the best natural products are elevated to the level of internationally recognized specialties. Each dish on the Encore menu is the culmination of years of effort, gastronomic explorations, and a reverence for the culinary traditions. No matter what your expectations are, Encore, Brooklyn's largest restaurant with the friendliest atmosphere, is waiting to exceed them. Appetizers to die for, seductively sizzling sausages, succulent chickens, tender shrimp, juicy steaks, and much more are available at the restaurant. At a young age, I was inspired to pursue a career in the culinary arts. When I first arrived in the United States, I enrolled in courses in hotel and restaurant management at New York Technical College. The opportunity to work in France, at the prestigious Hotel de France, presented itself to me in 1998. Later, I made my way into the New York City restaurant industry, where I worked as a pastry chef at the Russian Tea Room. I was awarded two gold medals by the Societe Culinaire Philanthropique's Salon of Culinary Art for my work in the kitchen. Having worked at places such as the Glen Oaks Country Club, City Hall, La Grenouille, and Gascogne Bistro, I decided to branch out and open my own restaurant on Staten Island in 2007. Over the course of seven years, the Alor Cafe has evolved into a fine dining and music venue. Today, I am the proud father of three children, and I live in Brooklyn with my wife. As a business owner, I take pleasure in giving back to my community. I also appreciate that Staten Island's accessibility allows for affordable ownership while still remaining connected to the city's energy. I recently ended my relationship with my long-term partner, but I'm ready to move on to the next phase. My current project is the "Better Burger" Project for the Chefs of America Foundation, on which I am currently working as a member. I've taken on this responsibility with the goal of demonstrating to the Staten Island community that eating healthy, sustainable foods is a wise choice and that this is the direction in which the restaurant market is moving.

    Lee-Fendall House Museum and Garden

614 Oronoco St, Alexandria, VA 22314, USA
    • Spaces for 200 Guests

Built in 1785 in the historic district of Old Town Alexandria, Virginia, the Lee-Fendall House was home to 37 members of the Lee family and later served as the Grosvenor Branch Hospital, treating wounded Union soldiers during the Civil War. Generations of enslaved and free African Americans also lived and worked on the property, and labor leader John L. Lewis, founder of the Congress of Industrial Organizations, later resided in the home during the height of his career. The Virginia Trust for Historic Preservation opened the house as a museum in 1974, and it is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the Virginia Landmarks Register. Behind the house sits a half-acre walled garden that traces back to a Victorian-era redesign by the Cazenove family in the 1850s, with a rose garden, an herb garden, and magnolia, black walnut, and ginkgo trees planted around 1852. Entered through a gate on Washington Street, the garden is free and open to the public whenever the museum is open and has been certified as a National Wildlife Federation Wildlife Habitat since 2019. Today the Lee-Fendall House Museum and Garden offers guided tours, exhibitions, and educational programming exploring nearly two centuries of American history, from the Lee family's residency through the property's role as a Civil War hospital and its twentieth-century labor history.

That same barn, set in the historic tri-state corner of Harpers Ferry where West Virginia, Virginia, and Maryland meet, opens up for private gatherings that range from intimate weddings to fundraisers, dances, birthday parties, and large festivals.
