At the heart of the villa is a spacious Grand Ballroom, added in the 1920s, which accommodates up to 250 guests standing or 200 seated with a dance floor. Kemah Gardens is a wedding and event venue set on four private, gated acres of pines just two miles from the Kemah Boardwalk and roughly 30 miles from both Houston and Galveston. The property centers on a lake with an illuminated fountain and a vintage arbor, where ceremonies take place as the sun sets over the water; guests visiting Kemah Gardens have also spotted blue herons, egrets, red hawks, mallards, and turtles from the lake. The venue's climate-controlled pavilion accommodates up to 150 guests, with a covered patio adding room for 60 to 70 more. Inside, a 5,000-square-foot Tuscan-inspired interior houses a bridal suite, a groom's room, and a guest gathering area for up to 40 to 50 guests. Kemah Gardens hosts wedding ceremonies and receptions, quinceañeras, rehearsal dinners, corporate retreats, and family reunions, working with a network of preferred vendors. This one-of-a-kind venue can accommodate up to 350 people for a banquet round and up to 400 people for a reception style setting. The Tremont House is a historic hotel in Galveston's Strand Historic District, tracing its roots to a Galveston institution dating to 1839. The current building, once the Leon & H. Blum Building, was constructed in 1879 and restored by George and Cynthia Mitchell in the early 1980s, reopening in 1985 as the first major hotel to open in downtown Galveston in sixty years. Today the hotel offers nearly 17,000 square feet of flexible event space across eight venues, accommodating gatherings from 8 to 800 guests. The Tremont Ballroom, on the upper level of the historic Davidson building, features 14-foot ceilings and access to a balcony overlooking the Galveston Mardi Gras arch, while the Royal Room offers exposed brick and floor-to-ceiling windows looking out on historic downtown. Smaller spaces like the Library and Tribune Room suit more intimate ceremonies, and the hotel's Rooftop Bar can be rented in full for weddings and receptions with views of downtown Galveston and the harbor. Moody Mansion is a 28,000-square-foot, four-story historic home in Galveston, completed in 1895 for the Moody family and restored to its turn-of-the-century splendor. Designed by British architect William H. Tyndall and decorated by New York's Pottier & Stymus, the mansion has been a Recorded Texas Historical Landmark since 1967 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1994. Beyond its daily house-museum tours, Moody Mansion hosts weddings, galas, and fundraisers within its historic rooms. The 1877 Tall Ship ELISSA is a square-rigged iron barque, restored in 1982 and now a floating museum that still actively sails — one of only three ships of her kind in the world to do so. Berthed at the Galveston Historic Seaport, she is a National Historic Landmark and the Official Tall Ship of Texas, a symbol of the Gulf Coast's beginnings as a seaport that welcomes more than 40,000 visitors each year. For private events, the ship and museum site offer a romantic waterfront setting, with moonlight silhouetting the masts. Guests have access to ELISSA's decks, galleries, officers' quarters, and galley — used as a serving area or bar — along with the museum's pier, galleries, and restrooms.
