    Frank Lloyd Wright's Fontana Boathouse

1 Rotary Row, Buffalo, NY 14201, USA
    • Spaces for 80 Guests

Frank Lloyd Wright's Fontana Boathouse sits on the shores of Buffalo's Black Rock Channel — a working boathouse and architectural landmark that serves as one of the city's most singular event venues. Wright originally designed the structure for the University of Wisconsin in 1905 and thought so highly of it that he included it in his celebrated 1910 Wasmuth Portfolio. The building came to life in Buffalo in 2007 through the philanthropy of Charles and Marie Fontana and their son Tom, for whom it is named. Wright's classic design details carry through every floor: large ceiling beams draw visitors from one space to the next, and Arts and Crafts lighting fixtures adorn the stairwells, reflected in the second-floor windows. The main banquet hall opens onto an outdoor balcony overlooking the Niagara River and Lake Erie, and wedding parties can make a memorable entrance by arriving at the boat dock below. The Fontana Boathouse is available year-round for weddings, corporate gatherings, and cocktail events. The West Side Rowing Club and Canisius College Crew Team continue to store boats on the first floor, keeping the building in active use exactly as Wright intended.

The Hill at Wright's Farm is situated on a 450-acre working farm in the center of the Hudson Valley, New York, and is surrounded by fresh peach trees in the summer and Mutsu, Mac, and Cortland apple trees in the fall. The Shawangunk Mountain Ridge serves as the backdrop to this landmark, and the view from there is so spectacular that the fields surrounding The Hill were kept unplanted in order to preserve the scenic grandeur of the surrounding area. In addition to the already noticeable attraction, the natural aroma of the peach flowers and apple blooms enhances the experience. The Hill got its start in 2014, when our daughter made the decision to have her wedding “on top of the hill.” The rest is history. Because of the site's allure, making the decision to use it was a straightforward process. Plans were drawn up to construct a terrace that would overlook the Shawangunk Mountain Ridge. The patio is enclosed by a split-rail fence, which is ideal for accommodating all of the event's guests. Whether it is in the afternoon or at night, the sky surrounding The Hill stretches for miles in every direction, and the sunsets are impossible to capture with a digital camera. The Hill at Wright's Farm will provide you with the perfect memories of a lifetime and will assist you in capturing an experience that will be difficult to forget in the future. The Renaissance Revival-style building, which stands five stories tall, was designed by William C. Frohne and completed in 1896. It is a rare surviving example of the numerous social halls constructed in the nineteenth century for the immigrant and ethnic communities of New York City. Over the course of more than a century, the Bohemian National Hall (Czech National Hall, also known as the Czech National Hall) has served as an important center for Czech and Slovak culture in New York City. For more than a decade, it has served as a focal point for its community, providing ethnic food, Czech language and history classes, and space for its large community to gather and hold various events. For more than a decade, it has served as a focal point for its community, providing ethnic food, Czech language and history classes, and space for its large community to gather and hold various events. The Czech Republic acquired ownership of the Bohemian National Hall in 2001 when the Bohemian Benevolent & Literary Association (BBLA) transferred ownership to the government of the Czech Republic. In order to emphasize the building's ties to the Czech Republic, it is now housed in the same building as the Consulate General and the Czech Cultural Center. The BBLA takes up the entire third floor of the building.

A few months into the COVID-19 pandemic, Jarrod Fox and Taylor Lintz decided they wanted to bring back the joy of entertainment that the Williamsburg community was lacking. Taking inspiration from an outdoor movie theater, Jarrod figured if people can get together and socially distance themselves to watch a movie, he could find a way to make the same thing happen with a bar. His idea, TailGate Outdoor Sports Bar, grew larger as he approached a number of venues with the concept. Taylor then quit her full-time day job to take over operations and help invest in the bar, and the rest is history. TailGate Outdoor Sports Bar was made with COVID-19 in mind to create a one-of-a-kind bar and entertainment experience. Each table fits up to 10 guests, has its own heater if needed, a 65 inch TV, a QR Code for contactless food and beverage orders, and a hand sanitizing station. Parties sit 7-8 feet apart or have plexiglass to keep a safe distance while enjoying live music, sports, food, and drinks. Jarrod and Taylor have put a strong emphasis on being inclusive: whether it be a drag show or football game, TailGate is dedicated to hosting as many fun events as they can for anyone to enjoy. As said best by Jarrod and Taylor, “Bk Backyard is an entertainment venue first and sports bar second”. Jarrod and Taylor have been dating for about 2 years and have a cute little dog named Basil, who you will see running around the bar. If you see her, please give her belly rubs, she loves them! And feel free to bring your dogs as well, the bar is called TailGate for a reason!

In recent years, it has been transformed into an elegant mixed-use event space with more than 6,000 square feet of combined indoor and outdoor floor space. A unique setting for your Brooklyn wedding, the venue's original exposed brick walls, natural light, and open-beamed ceiling are enhanced by recent renovations that pay tribute to the building's industrial past. Since opening our doors to our first couple in 2010, we've hosted over 500 weddings, ranging from intimate gatherings to huge bashes, Thursday night cocktail parties to Sunday afternoon brunches, Friday night ragers to Saturday black-tie affairs, and everything in between! Taking advantage of our space's sophisticated, understated beauty, you can dress it up or down according to your preferences. Companies looking to celebrate and showcase their brands in a unique environment, whether it's for internal business meetings or public product launches, can count on us for assistance. The Green Building, located in Gowanus, Brooklyn, is a completely transformable venue that can be customized to meet the specific needs of your event or gathering. We've hosted everything from buttoned-up sales presentations to candlelit yoga, local food festivals and liquor launches, car shows, and intimate dinners with some of the country's most prominent lifestyle bloggers and influencers in the industry.
