Desert Plantation Bed and Breakfast sits on 90 acres of rolling Tunica Hills, about a mile inside the Mississippi state line from St. Francisville, Louisiana. Built in 1808 and completed in 1812 by Colonel Robert Semple and his wife Isabelle Turnbull, the antebellum estate has been in continuous private stewardship under the Merwin family since 1900. The outdoor grounds are the heart of the event experience: ancient live oak trees draped with Spanish moss frame a ceremony walkway beside a pond, where candlelit bridal paths and a handcrafted altar set the stage for celebrations of up to 200 guests. For inclement weather or smaller gatherings, the historic manor itself accommodates up to 50 guests in its central hall — anchored by a distinctive archway used as an indoor altar — and on its expansive front porch overlooking the grounds. Desert Plantation hosts destination weddings, bridal retreats, family reunions, and corporate getaways. In addition, our front grounds are open for outdoor wedding celebrations, and they provide a range of settings and vistas for your event. Our Pavilion Ballroom can accommodate parties ranging in size from 50 to 350 individuals. The dining rooms in the main house can accommodate groups ranging from 20 to 40 people. The Main House Dining Rooms are only available for groups of 20-40 people who have made a previous reservation. Guests can enjoy private gatherings (teas, bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, formal or casual receptions, etc.) and intimate meals for groups of 20 to 40 individuals in the main house of Michabelle. Lunch and dinner menus can be tailored to meet your specific requirements. Michabelle Inn offers a range of wedding packages to meet your preferences, whether you are searching for a small outdoor ceremony/elopement or a large wedding and celebration. Michabelle has a long-standing wedding clientele and can host events both indoors and outdoors. When the weather permits, outdoor ceremonies are held on the front grounds of the main house on the estate. The ceremony will last approximately one hour. Please make reservations for the rehearsal times that you wish to attend. In addition, we have a Bridal Dressing Room available for your convenience. Customers who have booked wedding ceremonies or receptions at Michabelle Inn are the only ones who are permitted to take wedding photographs on the property. All other photography must have the owners' PRIOR WRITTEN APPROVAL before it can be used. There are no exceptions. This policy will be rigorously adhered to. Wedding receptions are hosted in the Pavilion Ballroom, which can accommodate 50 to 350 guests for a cost of $24 per person plus tax and service (alcohol not included). With the exception of wedding cakes, no outside catering businesses are permitted. We provide a number of bar services in a variety of packages that may be customized to meet the needs of any budget. Michabelle is responsible for providing and serving all alcoholic beverages in accordance with state legislation. We also have 150 parking spaces available on the premises. The standard reception duration is restricted to three hours per person. It is only permitted to bring in outside suppliers to provide flowers, decorations, and the wedding cake.

Maison De Tours, located across the street from St. Martin de Tours Church, is Acadiana's one-of-a-kind historic destination wedding venue that has been meticulously restored to its original 1855 beauty. exposed beams, long leaf pine floors, plaster and brick walls with cypress insets and wrought iron balconies are just some of the features of this home. A side alley leads through a stunning wrought iron trellis, and a lushly planted brick walkway opens onto a beautiful private courtyard where we have our outdoor weddings and other events. Take pleasure in the sound of our cascading waterfall. When the courtyard and balconies are lit by copper gas lights, a warm atmosphere of southern hospitality is created, complete with a French touch! Located right across the street from St. Martin De Tours Church, which is the third-oldest Catholic church in Louisiana, we are an attractive historic wedding destination venue. The venue is conveniently located near Lafayette, Broussard, Youngsville, New Iberia, and Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. We are available to host outdoor weddings, wedding receptions, showers, birthday celebrations, Christmas parties, anniversary celebrations, rehearsal suppers, bridal dressing, corporate events, teas, and garden parties in a setting reminiscent of the French Quarter in New Orleans. We rent Maison De Tours for $2,000 a week for a reception that lasts four hours on Friday and Saturday. The furniture included in this lease includes all of the indoor tables as well as the tables, chairs, table runners, lanterns, and chair bows. We also provide foliage and candles for all of the fireplaces, skirting and toppers for the cake and gift tables, cake stands, cake knives, toasting glasses, a champagne bucket, and a cake cutter. In addition, our team will provide cut cake to your visitors. On all of our outside tables, we give tablecloths, ash trays, and birdcage lanterns as decorations. The water feature in our food courtyard is a potted fountain, and the water feature in our wedding courtyard is a gorgeous huge fountain with special-effect lighting. Throughout the building and its courtyards, background music can be heard playing. We can cut off the music in any location where your DJ is performing. Meanwhile, you and your bridesmaids get to dress, do their hair, and do their makeup on the wedding day, while we call your vendors and set everything up for you the day before the wedding. In the case of an on-site wedding, we provide a wedding coordinator, podium, up to 200 seats, pew bows, music, a rehearsal, and an additional half-hour of planning time. Blythewood Event Center & Bed & Breakfast is a historic Greek Revival mansion built in 1885, set on grounds shaded by oak trees and bordered by a camellia garden in Amite, Louisiana. The property was purchased by the Kennedy family in 1970, has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and has operated as an event center since 1980 — one of the longest-running private event estates in the region. Inside, guests are welcomed by a grand piano in the main hallway, with a ballroom and intimate dining rooms suited to celebrations from small dinners to full receptions. The property sits on grounds with a history dating to 1855, when Father Charles M. Menard established a girls' school on the site. The Sisters of Mt. Carmel operated the school until 1965, and the hotel opened in 1973 on the original grounds — carrying that heritage into its present identity. For events, the inn offers more than 5,000 square feet of meeting and banquet space, accommodating gatherings from intimate celebrations to weddings of up to 150 guests. The Thibodeauxville Room, along with the adjoining Loudun and Bayou Garden Rooms, provides flexible space for weddings, receptions, baby showers, and private parties. Originally constructed as a family residence, the house takes its name from Fairfax Foster, the last family member to reside there before an extensive restoration brought it to its current condition. Majestic oak trees — many more than a century old — and lush bamboo frame the grounds, while manicured gardens and sweeping porches lend the property a sense of Southern elegance. The venue accommodates a wide range of gatherings, from weddings and receptions to seminars, reunions, business luncheons, dinner parties, showers, retreats, and afternoon tea.
