Owners Corrine Crocker — a wedding planner since 1990 — and William Luby purchased the house in 2007 and completed a meticulous renovation between 2009 and 2013, preserving the original framing timbers and handcrafted staircase while rebuilding the interior with modern systems, including a geo-thermal heating and cooling system throughout its 6,000 square feet. The venue balances historic character with modern comfort across its first-floor gathering spaces — a front parlor entrance, an open dining room with capacity for up to 75 seated guests, and The Village Room for boutique celebrations — as well as a second-floor bridal suite. A riverfront ceremony location on the property accommodates outdoor ceremonies, with optional horse-drawn carriage access.   This historic building makes for a great site for a wedding. The staff will help to coordinate all aspects of the wedding from entertainment to food to the ceremony. The barn is open April through November and will make for a memorable and unique day. The maximum rental time of the barn is six hours, which is a reasonable length for a wedding. It is also extremely affordable which makes it a desirable place to host a modest wedding. The seating in the barn is limited to 135 people, but you can provide additional tables and chairs if necessary to accommodate all of your guests.
