Carroll Hall is a rare and unexpected event space featuring a botanic garden in Brooklyn. We welcome all types of private events, from weddings, baby showers, bridal showers, and birthday parties to art exhibits, performances, corporate functions, fundraisers and film shoots. The space encompasses a total of 10,000 square feet, seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor areas. For indoor events, we have an open warehouse space, a skylit indoor catering room, and a private mezzanine lounge. Ultimately, the garden is the heart of our space, created as a quiet retreat among plants, birds, insects, and urban wildlife. Tucked in the back of our garden is a discreet wooden "treehouse", perfect for a quiet moment during any event. Carroll Hall and Dameron Architecture were awarded the 2022 AIA New York Design Award Citation for Reclaiming Urban Space. Our commitment to sustainability is reflected in our very foundation, which uses original bricks and existing ceramic brick walls from the prior warehouse structure, and most of the interior wood is reclaimed. INTRODUCING GREYWIND by award-winning Chef Dan Kluger, offering an elevated dining experience in Hudson Yards that creatively highlights seasonal, local ingredients. To complement Chef Kluger’s menu, our beverage program focuses on small, up-and-coming producers, distillers, and brewers in New York. Opened in Spring '23, Greywind boasts an in-house bakery turning out baked goods, snacks, and grab-and-go lunch 7 days a week, to a full-service dining room and bar, to event venues on the 43rd floor of the Set building, to a cozy cocktail bar, Spygold, located just beneath the restaurant, complete with plush furniture and a fire-lit lodge atmosphere. OUR MENU Greenmarket-driven menus are filled with playful, contemporary takes on recognizable dishes. Paragon is a 2.5 floor, 270 person capacity venue with state-of-the-art sound and lighting, conveniently located on the border of Bed-Stuy and Bushwick, a cultural hotspot within Brooklyn NY. The venue is a flexible use space, perfect for unique & engaging brand activations, corporate gatherings, film & photo shots, weddings, fashion shows, and of course, DJ & live music performance and parties. Designed by award winning industrial designer & interior architect, Safwat Riad, Paragon’s interiors offer a unique array of spaces and environments. This is an intimate, flexible event and performance venue located in Midtown East, available for full buyout by the hour. The space includes two connected rooms: a main showroom with a built-in stage and a bar/lounge area. It is well suited for private events, live performances, rehearsals, corporate gatherings, screenings, and creative productions. The main showroom features a raised stage with professional sound and lighting, multiple microphones, and a baby grand piano available for use. The room can be configured for seated events, standing receptions, or cleared layouts, with tables and chairs that can be removed or rearranged as needed. The bar and lounge area includes a full operational bar, bar seating, tables, banquette seating, and warm ambient lighting, making it ideal for cocktail hours, networking, or breakout space. The venue also offers Wi-Fi, TVs with HDMI input, adjustable lighting, elevator and stair access, and easy street-level load-in. Outside food is allowed with no restrictions, and BYOB is permitted. WhiteBox is a non-profit contemporary art space in Manhattan, founded in 1998 as an alternative gallery in the then-nascent Chelsea neighborhood. Over more than two decades it has relocated across the city — to the Lower East Side, East Harlem, and most recently to Alphabet City in the East Village — sustaining 27 years of uninterrupted programming along the way. The space describes itself as a radically inclusive institution with a mission to remain freely accessible to everyone, prioritizing underserved communities through exhibitions, educational programs, and participatory projects. Its calendar spans contemporary art exhibitions, performances, artist conversations, and workshops, alongside recurring initiatives such as the FireHouse Lit Lounge, a cultural-literary-performance salon. Docent-led tours are offered in English, Spanish, and Chinese. We found a perfect cozy space at the end of an unused alley off the Bowery in the fall of 2004, and Freemans Restaurant was born. The restaurant's concept was to create a rough, secretive colonial American tavern. Early Americans imagined the cuisine to be simple, rustic, and inspired by Old World traditions. We've held everything from weddings and birthday parties to movie premieres, luncheons, wrap parties, bridal showers, and business dinners over the years. For seated dinner parties or cocktail celebrations, Freemans has three private rooms available. The entire second floor, including the drawing room, or the entire restaurant, can be rented for groups of 30 to 200 people. Our intimate working wine cellar provides an exceptional eating environment. In your own private wine cellar, seats 10-12 guests for a sit-down lunch or dinner. In an elegant 2nd floor dining room, the Blue Room seats 13-20 guests for a sit-down lunch or dinner, or up to 30 guests for a cocktail reception. Our largest single private room is the Red Room on the second floor. In an attractive 2nd floor dining room, seats 20-30 guests for a sit-down lunch or supper, or up to 40 guests for a cocktail reception. Guests can book the Red Room, Drawing Room, and Blue Room for large-scale gatherings. For a sit-down lunch or dinner, all three rooms can seat 30-80 people, or up to 100 people for a cocktail reception. Our second-floor private cocktail bar can accommodate groups of up to 25 people.
