Winslow and George H. Wetherell, the chapel is a distinguished example of rural stone architecture influenced by English parish church design, featuring a distinctive interior where wooden trusses arranged like an inverted boat support a heavy slate roof. The chapel houses an extraordinary collection of stained glass, including two Tiffany windows, a window by John LaFarge, and three windows originally displayed at the 1876 Philadelphia Exposition. In 2002, the chapel was designated to the National Register of Historic Places; its slate roof was fully restored in 2019 with support from a state historic preservation grant. Weddings and ceremonies are held from mid-May through mid-October, welcoming up to 150 guests. Episcopal priests and clergy from other Christian denominations may officiate, and the venue is open to couples of all backgrounds. A gorgeously renovated barn venue is quietly located in the lovely countryside of Wonalancet, New Hampshire. Locke Falls Farm combines modern elegance with rustic charm to create the perfect backdrop for your next wedding. The farm is surrounded by pastoral landscapes, mountain views, and thriving perennial gardens as it sits on the edge of the White Mountains. New backdrops with an intense display of autumn color emerge as palettes change and the temperature drops. Couples who prefer winter weddings or who need more room for guests might visit our sister location, The Public House on Page Hill. This brand-new building, which just went into operation, offers year-round event space as well as lodging with stunning views of Mount Chocorua and the Sandwich Range. A story is told when historical details are skillfully weaved into the fabric of the present. The history of Locke Falls Farm begins in the early 1900s, when stagecoach and rail travel were both common. Couples two-stepping through the hand-built dance pavilion could be heard in our antique barn setting. Visitors can now ascend to the homestead using the stones that originally served as the barn's foundation. The traditional sleeping porch, the bridal bedroom with soaking tub, and the stone patio for the rehearsal dinner or cocktails are just a few of the attractions of the wonderfully renovated farmhouse. Locke Falls has added a lot of distinctive features while maintaining the integrity of the farm. The ideal location to exchange vows is defined by our natural wooden arbors, which provide sitting along with rustic tables and benches. A century-old maple slab rests atop whiskey barrels in the patio bar. Even high-top tables made of wire spools exist. The 2,400 square foot event pavilion was recently constructed, and it has large doors leading to a brand-new patio. It features expansive perennial gardens, hand-built stone walls, and breathtaking views of the surrounding pastoral meadows. Locke Falls Farm has so much to love and learn.
