The Douglas Beach House is an oceanfront event center situated on Miramar Beach at 311 Mirada Road in Half Moon Bay, California. Set at the corner of Mirada Road and Cortez, the venue has served as the coastside's distinctive setting for weddings, corporate gatherings, and private celebrations for over 50 years. The main event space accommodates up to 120 guests for standing receptions and up to 100 for seated dinners, with 80 guests considered the ideal seated configuration. For corporate meetings and off-site retreats, the room comfortably hosts 50 to 80 participants across a variety of floor-plan configurations. Every window frames ocean views, giving the space a casual coastal warmth suited to everything from elegant wedding receptions and anniversary parties to corporate mixers, holiday events, and concerts. Sam's Chowder House opened in October 2006 along Highway 1 in Half Moon Bay, overlooking Pillar Point Harbor and the Pacific Ocean. Celebrated for its New England-style seafood, the restaurant has earned recognition from Food & Wine as one of the "100 Most Scenic Restaurants in America" and has been named the #1 Seafood Restaurant by Half Moon Bay locals. Six private and semi-private event spaces accommodate gatherings ranging from 20-guest intimate dinners to 120-person outdoor receptions on the Beachfront Lawn. Indoor options include the Mavericks Room — a corner banquet room with windows framing the Mavericks surf break and harbor — and the Harbor View Room, which seats up to 54 guests with sweeping Pacific Ocean views and direct access to the North Patio. In honor of the breathtaking valley on the island of Capri, Cetrella offers approachable fine dining dishes that are made with fresh ingredients from local growers and purveyors. Appetizers include crudo and focaccia; main courses include fritto misto; beef carpaccio; soups and salads; wood-oven pizza; house-made bread and pasta; and cheese flights. Seasonal grilled vegetables, fish, poultry, and meat are available as main course options on a rotating basis.
