The property has been in the Winslow family since 1978, and the 1884 farmhouse still stands on the land where the family once raised beef cattle. About a decade ago, the family converted an old pole barn into an event space, hosting their own daughter's wedding there before opening the venue to other couples. The barn hosts up to 150 guests for a wedding weekend, with exclusive use of the property from Friday afternoon through Sunday morning. Couples can hold their ceremony outdoors beneath a 200-year-old oak tree or by the pond, or indoors with the barn doors open, and reception inside the climate-controlled barn with heating and air conditioning. Two suites above the barn, Riverside and Fieldside, serve as bridal-party dressing rooms on the wedding day and can also be booked for overnight stays. Barn at Edgewood hosts a limited number of weddings each year, and requires couples to work with a professional wedding planner and a licensed, full-service caterer.
