    Stag's Leap Wine Cellars

5766 Silverado Trail, Napa, CA 94558, USA

Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars, notably known for being the winery that won the Cabernet Sauvignon competition in the famous 1976 Judgment of Paris, was founded in 1970, and is considered a Napa Valley first-growth estate. In 1969, The founder of Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars first tasted with Nathan Fay, whose scenic vineyard below the rocky promontory of the Stags Leap Palisades, so named because of the legend of the stag who successfully eluded hunters by leaping to freedom across the district's landmark peaks, was the first planting of Cabernet Sauvignon in what later became the Stags Leap District. In 1970, The founder purchased the 44 acre property, which was primarily a prune orchard, next to Nathan Fay's vineyard, named the property Stag's Leap Vineyards, and replanted it to Cabernet Sauvignon and a little bit of Merlot. Stag's Leap Wine Cellars was born. In 1972, The first vintage of S.L.V. Cabernet Sauvignon is produced. In 1973, The first winery building is completed, and the now historic 1973 S.L.V. Cabernet Sauvignon becomes the first wine made in the new red wine facility. In 1974, The first vintage of CASK 23 is produced after consulting winemaker Andre Tchelistcheff, while tasting through the lots of wine from this vintage, decided that one lot, which was in the large wooden cask numbered 23, was so beautiful and deliciously distinct that it should be bottled separately. In 1976, Stag's Leap Wine Cellars won the Cabernet Sauvignon category in a blind tasting staged by Steven Spurrier, an English wine merchant in Paris, among French wine experts between American and French wines. This later became known as the famous Judgment of Paris. In 1986, Stag's Leap Wine Cellars purchased FAY vineyard from Nathan Fay. In 1989, The Stags Leap District in Napa Valley was established as an American Viticultural Area. In 1990, The first bottling of FAY Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon was produced from Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars. In 1996, A bottle of the history-making 1973 S.L.V. Cabernet Sauvignon was placed in the permanent collection of the Smithsonian’s national Museum of American History. Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars begins the excavation of its wine caves. In 2000, The Napa wine caves were completed with an entrance called The Arcade, designed by Barcelona-based architect Javier Barba. There are over 34,000 square feet of tunnels, and one of only about 50 Foucault pendulums in the world, which suspended from the ceiling, marks the passing of time and the aging of wine. In 2001, The first vintage of ARTEMIS Cabernet Sauvignon, named for the Greek Goddess of the Hunt, was produced. In 2007, A partnership between Ste. Michelle Wine Estates and Marchesi Antinori proudly accepted the stewardship of Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars and its legacy. In 2013, The iconic 1973 S.L.V. Cabernet Sauvignon was named one of the Smithsonian's "Objects that Made America". Built in 1915 as part of the Panama-Pacific International Exposition, the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium derives its name from the late impresario Bill Graham, who began the rock ‘n roll movement in San Francisco in the 1960s. The historic building has hosted a multitude of significant cultural events, including the Democratic National Convention in 1920, a speech from Martin Luther King Jr. to the NAACP in 1956, and served as the Golden State Warriors’ home court from 1964 to 1966. President Barack Obama was a guest of the venue both in 2007 and 2012 for campaign speeches, and the Dalai Lama offered two days of teachings in 2007. As the exclusive promoter, Another Planet Entertainment manages the building with respect to its rich history and keeps the venue active with hundreds of concerts and special events. Past concerts include performances by the Grateful Dead, Elton John, Sam Smith, Swedish House Mafia, Chance the Rapper, The Killers, Janet Jackson, Phish, Lady Gaga, Bob Dylan, Tool, Bruno Mars, Zedd, Bette Midler, Juanes, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Billie Eilish, Lizzo and many more. We encourage fans attending our events to plan ahead and arrive early, as heavy traffic is often experienced in the area. Ceiling-Mounted Sound System The Moscone Center has permanently installed sound systems in all levels at Moscone West, Moscone South and Moscone North. These in-house sound systems are available for your use through preferred audio-visual provider, Projection. Webcasting & Conference Recording Live Webcasting has evolved over the last ten years from a very high cost service only suitable for occasional use, into a service that can fit within the budget of many events and open up new opportunities for attendance and collaboration. Projection offers different options based upon the number of users, whether the live stream will be a publicly available, and whether you wish to monetize the service. Other considerations involve whether you wish the live stream to be embedded on your own Web site, or you wish to have an external site, or a full event portal. Most live Webcasts involve the use of branding graphics. Projection can create these for you, or work with your team on an approval process. Our Projection Capture System makes the perfect complement for on demand hosting and web-cast by synchronizing audio, video, and slide content into a professional looking video player (skin) that can include show/corporate logo, advertising, and other branding. Digital Signage Projection is constantly seeking new ways to bring technological advancement to your meetings. The use of digital signage eliminates the ever-growing costs of materials that must be disposed of after your event. This concept proposes the use of LCD or LED monitors in high traffic locations for Welcome Messaging, Meeting Announcements, Visitor Way Finding, Sponsor Recognition, Information Sharing, or Promotions. For the use in front of a meeting room, display information can include session titles, program times, speaker names, news tickers, twitter feeds, or even display the live presentations currently running in the meeting room. By utilizing a local area network (LAN) the digital signs can be controlled from a centralized location and specific programs can be created to control the signs automatically. On-demand overflow, live streaming, video programs and other data sources are also possibilities with a network backbone in place. In addition stand-alone programming is available for individual signs. Our Creative Design team can produce custom backgrounds and input the necessary content for the displays. Presentation Management ProjectionNet, our total presentation management solution supports your presenters with a piece of mind that their presentation will stay intact and won't get lost. Presenters can preview and fine-tune their presentations in a central Speaker Ready Room. The presentations are stored on a central server and delivered through Moscone's network infrastructure to a presentation machine in each session room. And in the rare instance of a network failure, any submitted presentations are still easily available to your presenters in their scheduled meeting room. Pre-submission provides speakers an opportunity to submit their presentation to a private server, prior to the event. Palmaz Vineyards

4029 Hagen Rd, Napa, CA 94558, USA

In 1852, young Henry Hagen arrives on a West Coast in the throes of continental expansion and the Gold Rush. He initially settles in San Francisco but in 1881 turns his attention slightly north, purchasing a parcel of land in the southern end of nearby Napa Valley, against the forested ridges of Mount George. There he founds Cedar Knoll Vineyard and Winery, where the Palmaz Vineyards and family reside today, just off what’s now known as Hagen Road. Hagen will become one of the true pioneers of the Napa Valley: His noteworthy wines are featured at the San Francisco Opera House and served to some of the finest people of the city, according to contemporary newspaper accounts. Hagen even wins a silver medal for his brandy at L’Exposition Universelle de Paris 1889 World’s Fair. Hagen dies in 1895, leaving behind 450 acres of “fine vineland.” While Cedar Knoll is lauded for its wines (and spirits), Hagen’s descendants don’t share his passion. With the arrival of Prohibition in 1919, the property’s winemaking endeavors are abandoned until the Palmaz family purchases the property in the late 1990s and sets about restoring its former glory. Julio and Amalia Palmaz have always believed that if given the proper attention and care, their land can produce excellent wine for generations. Along with their children, Florencia and Christian Gastón (and Christian’s wife, Jessica Louise), they set about creating a winery that leverages tradition and technology in the service of crafting great vintages. The result is a 600-acre estate with 64 acres of vineyards that produce truly modern vintages, thanks to the technology harnessed in support of the art of winemaking. At Palmaz, they believe in farming the individual vine, not the vineyard. Tradition and technology seamlessly come together to give them insights into the needs of each vine. While nothing replaces the knowledge gained from walking through the vineyard, personally touching each vine, technologies such as advanced Geographic Informational Systems give the winemaking team an understanding of what vines need both above- and below-ground. By combining farming techniques from the organic, biodynamic and erosion-control philosophies, the Palmaz family has created a truly sustainable farm that will produce great wine for generations to come. From diverse cover crops in the winter to a deficit-irrigation program in the summer, tending to the land is a year-round program. The vineyards are nestled at three different elevations, from the hills around the estate to the crest of Mount George, and feature 46 distinct vineyard blocks. The complexity of the terrain results in a variety of micro-climates, all of which influence grapes in unique ways. Each parcel features a distinct rootstock and clonal combination that contributes a special characteristic to the resulting wines.
